My needs will start after the game actually launches as always, Early Access is not a launch btw, it is just accessing the game before it is ready to launch.

Looks good, hopefully more action than survival and I will be onboard. As always special thanks for all the players taking part in EA so that I get the best experience post launch. ;)

I think I will wait until launch as well since I saw paid dlc in early access. I know some dont mind it but I wont be supporting such practices.

I agree with you. These pratices are greedy as hell. The game is not even release that they are keeping content behind a pay wall. Cosmetics or not..it doesn't matter.

Closed beta, then early access?  What exactly is the state of this game?  EA has been a strong indicator that a game isn't finished.  This is just weird.

Logic, my dear, merely enables one to be wrong with great authority.

It aint finished, hence the early access. Jesus, just a bunch of cry babies, as if this is your first rodeo when it comes to early access games. And OMG can't believe a developer would want to milk its fanbase for some cosmetic items, how could they. Such a horrible practice! Which is only done by like 99.9% any new games in the last 5 years.
I don't even care for the game, but it looks more polished than any other EA game I've seen in the past decade.

I have to say the game its good. I had some fun so far. Now the only problem. I got into a pvp server and as usual there were alliances already so it was 1v4 or even 6. Prolly my fault since I am aware this is the scenario in every pvp game. Goint to pve to learn the game.

Talking of pay wall for cosmetic. You know what welcome too reality. I guess even wearing a t-shirt irl is behind paywall. Do you think these compagny pay they employee with Unicorn and Rainbow Juice ?

So far entertaining thats for sure. The mood, the setting, and even the graphics I feel are perfect for this. Highly stylized, and yes its still a survival gave, but due to the different theme and setting it does feel a bit different. Disclaimed I hosted a solo server for the time being because my friends are still at work. We'll host up a multiplayer when they get home and get it. I'm not sure I'm going to wade into the pvp online servers however.

A fair warning to new players: Don't get your hopes up, it was made by Stunlcok Studios.
They're known for abandoning every single game they have made. I'd like to have the opposite feelings about this one, because it actually looks decent, but so did their other games and they all died the same way.

Whelp shit I didn't know that. They got my money already so I have to hope for the best. But I'll be more cautious regarding their games from now on. Thanks for the heads up.

Looks like a decent time killer.

Played a session of 4-5 hours and I had a lot of fun.
First of all this has to be on of the best EA launches I've witnessed so far and the game is very polished. I didn't have a single bug during my first session.
Started out alone since my friends couldn't join yet due to work.

At first I've choosen a regular PvP server because I wanted to see everything the game has to offer. Stayed there for about 2 hours were 2 times I fought a boss together with strangers only to get killed by them after the fight and another 3 times i got ****** by a group of 3-4.
Still the combat against players is not bad just know that on a regular PvP server you have to be with a group of 3-4 ALL the time and to be fair thats exactly what the servertypes description shows.

After cleaning the PvP servers floor with my weak and unworthy body I switched to PvE.

Well no big surprise it was very relaxing compared to my permanent 180 bpm heartbeat in PvP ;) I managed to catch up with my first toon within an hour. Players where very friendly and helpful and almost everyone (on the PvP server aswell) used the ingame voicechat which had good sound quality so far. Killed a few bossed and called it a day. I didn't have any lags and the game runs very smooth with max details but I must say that I have a 3070 and read a lot about people having problems with slower machines.

For 20€ I already had more fun and I can't wait to play this with some friends on our private server, until then I'll stay on the official one (server #1086, character:: Amadeus)

Hope I could help a bit

    Thanks.
Yeah we ended up buying it and tossing up a server.  Good first night kept me playing until 2AM.

Some of us are deeply opposed to such practices and will remain so regardless if 5 or more years have past. The fact so many games now do this just makes it more appalling, not more acceptable.

From other comments on here and elsewhere it seems quite solid for an EA, so I am looking forward to a not too distant launch.

I guess taking 3 parts of my own statement makes your statement seem like it has more weight even though I said "I know some dont mind it but I wont be supporting such practices." Its called having a personal opinion....and using Valheim is a bit of a stretch for comparison since the only extra thing they sell is a soundtrack and that game seems to have gotten by just fine even though its still in EA.

I watched a friend live stream it briefly last night and it looks like it could be a pretty good time waster. I'm gonna pick it up soon even though it's an early access game.

I've read reviews stating the Vampire features are fairly anemic (see what I did there?), and you end up doing an overly familiar survival loop (punch trees/rocks) with a lot of grind.

Seems like a missed opportunity to me.

It was not difficult to spend 15 hours the first 2 days, so it's an enjoyable ride and well worth $20. My recommendation is to only play online if you have friends or playing PvE. The PvP is extremely toxic and while I really enjoy triggering sweaty people by owning them in PvP or laugh at them for bringing friends when they lose 1v1, it's definitely a rough game if played solo. So bring a few friends and you will be playing it for a solid amount of hours.

Except the fantastic music. I did not sing for them, but perhaps I should have ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
