The Cycle looks interesting. Anyone get their hands on it yet?
So does Embers Adrift.
I played for an hour or two in their last beta. I'm not a huge fan of battle royale because I think it's incredibly boring to run around looking for loot for 20 minutes and then die by some sniper (or when some guy I have dead to rights turns around and shoots me after I completely miss him). If nothing else, the PvE aspect of The Cycle fixes part of that. It's free to play so the worst you can do is waste your time downloading it if you try it out and don't like it.
I just came across this game. Hope it gets more focus than that in the future, since the art direction is great.
It does get more focus when there is actual news. I did an early access preview when it first released, and they've made a lot of improvements since then. It still has a long way to go to be a long term play and they've had some staffing issues so there's no guarantee it'll ever make it to a full release.

Are the improvements on bugfixing or content? I had my eyes on it and loved its art style and vibe, but my understanding was that, bugs aside, the gameplay loops weren't that compelling... My understanding is that their current focus is on bugfixing.
If I recall correctly they had put out a little bit of new content but then switched to full mode bug squashing. They said that they realized they needed to build a solid foundation before adding more content. And then they cut their staff. And it's been pretty quiet since then.
Thanks for putting the links in this week Mitch. My memory is going so I like to click on a link to the game site to remind me what they're all about.
Nothing I saw really tracked with me, at least for where they're at right now.
The hilarious standout of the week is the "NFT character mating" in Legends of Aria. It sounds like a neckbeard's pathetic and cringe fantasy come true. Cue the character breeding farms.
I have just been looking at a game recommended to me called My Lovely Wife. Apparently she dies and you have to come to terms with this. Naturally you do this by trying to remake her from Succubi or something, it seemed to be a crafting game! Yes if you wanted to handle bereavement by remaking your partner there is a game for you. Bonkers!
