No need. I only blast those who are proven mentally competent. They should consider it a backhanded compliment when I do it :)

Question, what mobile platform and phone model was the review played on?

Wondering if the experience might be any different on an iPhone vs Android, and really wondering how it might play on the Samsung Fold with it's expanded screen size when opened.

Can this game be played on tablets even? I've been looking for years now for a game to actually play on a tablet, wondering if this might be one to try doing so?

Anyone have a link to maybe a stream where this was discussed or explored?

I play it on my Lenovo tab 12 pro, plays silky smooth. Synced up my PS5 joystick to it and it is good times indeed.

So the only CONS are :

    Cons
Monetization systems which pressure players into spending money for a chance at gear they want
Hidden mechanics to how the monetization works and how wide the gap between people who pay large amounts of money and players who don’t spend as much.

    That's it?!?
Without the monetization the game would be a 10/10?

    Really???

    Rework your review buddy.
Rework your outlook on gaming, monetization IS this game, and needs to be in the review. If you can't accept that, it's a you problem.
You sure do have a problem if you can't read that right. Rework your outlook buddy.

My only question, is how long would you be willing to play without spending cash on this game? 4 hours, 12 hours , 100, before you can't progress until you spend cash?
It seems you can do without cash if you devote your life to the game, but even then you will have to get lucky. From what most players say I am not sure this would even stay interesting beyond the 100 hour point, others will hopefully set us right there?
There is no devoting my life to the game which is honestly a determent to the no lifers who want to compete without dropping a fortune.

You really only need to play 3-5 hours a day depending on your efficiency to hit soft caps and after that there really isn't any reason to keep grinding for anyone and those who do continue the grind are botting, a lot of bots which autoplay is typical among mobile games so goodluck curbing that one.

Paragon is also server capped and even the biggest payers are at the mercy of it.

RNG is still RNG and it is very Diablo, I'm not getting the upgrades I need but my character still has a lot of room for growth gearwise. My partner has been far more lucky.

We're both top 1-5% of the server, having only spent $5 each. There is no content we can't do. Though we stay mostly because we found a clan with some cool people and it's fun as a casual hangout  Most people are content being the best under the godwhales, no one really counts them as players or competitors. A lot of people have picked their rivals within their brackets to compete with.

That said, with progress slower and resembling higher end Diablo grinds, the nagging in my head to spend a few bucks is pretty frequent simply because it is available.

For the average user, first 40 hours free is a 9/10 value, after that it diminishes greatly. Though if you don't like quests/lore/story stuff, it's probably a 6/10. There are around 8 or so special offer popups in that time frame, think of it as an ad and why you're getting the game for free.
I see what you are saying about soft caps, but you have to keep coming back every day for your 3 to 5 hours. That is devoting your life to a game, some players only play for three hours a day.

I do value your information, you gave us a lot in previous posts as well, so if you want to try the game read Aori's posts. But to me it is a gambling F2P game and we would be better of without them.

5 is fucking generous for another unfinished game.

3 from me, finish your god damn game. Helliquary was cyberpunk levels of under cooked.

i play a lot of mobile games, and this I wouldn't even give a 5. its sub standard in a lot of ways, and a lot of mobile games do a lot better. even the basic control scheme is bad and not well designed for mobile

for the guy asking about tablets, most mobile games play best on tablets,

Well I do not play mobile games period.

But that being said I pretty sure I will not touch a Blizzard game again. That is from one who have played wow on and of since launch. Even raided hardcore for a period.

Just a big list of bad  over the last couple of years.

So I will protest the only way I can. They get one less customer.

Think they will survive though.  ;)

They probably gained a whole bunch of mobile players so they are doing swimmingly well.

100 agree. I do not approve of the business decisions and practices of the major gaming companies hence I reflect my displeasure the only way I can: with my wallet. Hence why I will not buy games from the likes of Blizzard, Ubisoft and others. Doubt they care or will be hurt by my decision but I refuse to be part of a flawed, unethical business practices. :(

the game is pay to win period. I see others saying its a choice to play free or pay . thats bs why? easy because if you do not pay you will not aDVANCE AND EVERYONE THAT DOES PAY WILL OWN YOU . YOU WONT GET GROUPS YOU WONT GET CHANCES AT GREAT LOOT WHY ? BECAUSE YOU WILL BE LOOKED AT AS A SCXRUB THAT CANNOT KEEP UP . BE IT A HEALER THAT CAN ONLY HEAL 20 HPS PER SECND as opposed to the tank tyhat has 1o mil hps because he paid . its junk I am done with pay to win lost ark killed it for me ..sorry for caps

I do not mind tossing some money at the games I play. I can afford it.
Would never toss money after a game who is constructed to use addicts and create more whales though.

Tossed a lot to potbs which I play from time to time. Kept alive by fans. Maybe 200 active players. Still amazed every time I return to see the servers running.  :D

Even tossed some at lotro think I have 20000 points and a year long sub. None on loot boxes keys though.

But It is in the talks that more countries will ban loot boxes and other predatory methods. Join Belgium and Netherlands. Fingers crossed. If the US will ever follow suit?
Maybe but I doubt it. You lads seem to have problems enough keeping "sane" laws. :p

Not trying to derail the thread into politics though.

Have a nice day! more coffee and lotro is my plan for this very early morning.

The game is just designed to force you to pay as much as possible, at least if you want to have any hope of competing with other players, it is very much a p2w scam, hence why it has been frequently referred to as being 'Diablo Immoral' with very good reasons.

This REALLY downplayed how much of an impact the shop makes on PVP. The higher your resonance the more buffed your damage and defense is. Legendary gems are a massive increase to resonance.

Even if you get gems you dont care about, you can sacrifice them to upgrade a gem you do want. You can buy platinum to buy the gem you want off market place.

F2P have almost literally no chance against these whales in PVP. PVE it doesn't matter in the least.
