Skull and Bones, the oft-delayed pirate MMO from Ubisoft, is truly real and we finally have a release date. The upcoming multiplayer title will be coming on November 8th, and Ubisoft is planning multiple live tests from now through release date this year.

    Looks so bad, Greek fire in the 16/1700's? Boarding is nothing more than a cut scene.. so lame

    We shall see.  The gameplay trailer struck me as a beefier version of Sea of Thieves.  Will that be enough to make it popular?  Not sure.

    Yeah but SOT had every player on the same ship. This one has everyone on their own ships.

    I've written off Ubisoft now, and this offering is going to change that.  Skull and Bones looks like it's foundering....

    If you are holding out for the perfect game, the only game you play will be the waiting one.

    Yeah, SoT is pretty well unrivaled at the moment when it comes to ship to ship combat. This just looks awful. Saying this is a beefier version of SoT is an insult. PotBS had better looking combat and sailing, as does Naval Action.

    Good luck to anyone who buys into this "MMO." It'll have about 6-10 months of free updates, then they'll mostly abandon it and put it in maintenance mode with season passes to milk what's left of the player base. Just like they have Steep, The Crew 2 and Riders Republic.
    Sea of Thieves is...  Not a great game.

    Devs said in the video that they will have PvP servers...... I was wondering if they will have PvE servers, too? and HOW does solo play work, is it offline?

    I kept patience during the years of nothing, but this is going to be a disaster. Releasing it the same week as Ragnarok as well ?? Good Luck !

    It probably does like SoT. however your ship will be filled with fake crew and far as I can tell resource gathering is just pulling up next to the island and choosing the resources and it auto breaks and gathers the stuff. Not sure you can get off your ship at all save for towns perhaps.

    When I first heard about this back in 2017 it looked good, and I was looking forward to it. It's gone through several changes in direction as well as directors. I have zero interest in it now.

    I'm not an IT Specialist, Game Developer, or Clairvoyant in real life, but like others on here, I play one on the internet.

    I usually play anything resembling Age of sails and that it is complete cross play makes it tempting. Could probably get together with a ragtag band who have long since moved on from the master race. Idiots   ;)

    Watched the livestream with a friend as we are both SoT fans and were excited about Skull & Bones. Well, we aren't any more.

    I was thinking Uncharted Waters 2.0 (or is it 3.0).  Fame is gained through crafting, not raping and pillaging?  Exactly what kind of pirates are we talking about here?

    Dear Ubisoft in light of your recent decision to deprive customers of their purchases bought with their hard earned money I am loath to purchase anything from you for fear of what you might decide to take away at a later date.
