Squad, the tactical multiplayer shooter from Offworld Industries, recently released their Amphibious Assault update. Shane checks it out to see how the combat sim stacks up and whether it brings memorable moments, or whether it's more complicated than it's worth.

It is truly about working together with your team to push objectives. Half the game's challenge is actually locating the enemy and being confident you aren't about to shoot a friendly silhouette. Those things are key because one bullet can end you, and you don't have time to second-guess whether that's an enemy or not if you want to be successful.
You should really join better servers. It has been a while for me so can not really recall what servers. There are a lot of good servers out that that force squad play, but also allow plenty of room to make mistake/learn. These servers are often full and might take a while before you can join them, but that was always worth it to me.
Not every match will be a hit, but more often then not I was in a decent enough squad with a squad leader that at least tries to do his best.
I have less than 40 hours in the game, and the other day our squad topped the match score with like 38k points, plus I was able to maintain a 3:1 K:D.
Literally half the game is finding the enemies without exposing yourself. In that situation, 18 eyes are far better than 2.
