The next New World update is out tomorrow, and it makes some huge, top to bottom major changes as well as brings musical instruments and the Barnacles & Blackpowder Expedition.

    About time they got rid of tuning orbs that locked out players from the best PvE feature in the game and created an obnoxious economy around buying spots on end game expedition runs from whoever crafted the orb.

    To be honest, the selling of spots died pretty much lately, at least on EU servers, specially since you can buy orbs from the faction shop almost for free.

    Can't wait for that patch though. Just the faire is awesome.

    Ah they are trying to steal LoTRO's musical instrument idea.......It worked there, it looks ridiculous here.

    At least in my part of the northern hemisphere...

    Technically, but sometimes that's a bit of stretch in terms of weather when September rolls around in my location. August remains comfortably in the summer zone.

    No, music is a feature that should be standard in MMOs, one of so many good gameplay ideas that just don't get taken up.

    The problem with seasonal updates is they are only around for that season, if not they are not really seasonal. Little work seems to have expanded the core content be it quests, PvP or the regional conflict. If they start addressing that the game would be on track.

    They seem to go in the right direction. They should do a Final Fantasy approach. Shut it down and re-release.

    I wasn't on the PTR, so I'm discovering it all now, and I can tell you that the music is:
    1) Awesome, just very well made.
    2) Has nothing to do with the LOTRO one, it's different.

    Back to the game for me :)

    I'm tellin' ya, they can definitely build it back up to 20k daily users if they keep plugging away.

    They've got to keep listening and tackling issues as they come up effectively and efficiently, though.

    And a renewed marketing push this fall would also help.

    I'm tellin' ya, they can definitely build it back up to 20k daily users if they keep plugging away.

    They've got to keep listening and tackling issues as they come up effectively and efficiently, though.

    It's already at 20k...
    It peaked over it though :)

    We'll see this week-end.

    Come live that event, friends, it's definitely worth it.

    And yeah, I think when they release the desert area, they must advertise it, with a great video like they are able to make and some streams.

    As proved with this patch again, those guys are capable of creating awesome content on par with the best on the market. It'd be a shame to let that awesome immersive world go to waste, really.
