VIP seems to mean less and less as the years go on, I understand the reasoning but those of us who paid £100 (I think, it's so long ago) seem to be getting cash shop sidelined. Every VIP I knew wanted more ways to put money into the game, we wanted to support the game. But back when I left it was either P2W or cosmetics, which did just not appeal to us. Well, the cosmetics did appeal to some of the guild, just not that many. Maybe things are different with the cash shop now and someone playing can tell us what options a VIP has to put money in?

I'm American and it cost me $200.00 usd. The only reason I remember is that this is the only game I have ever done that for ;).

What would you propose adding into an MMO for veterans that isn't P2W or cosmetics? Seems like a difficult request to fulfill.
It is, they did add some stuff you could buy for your house, but again that only appealed to some of us. We did bring up physical merchandising, but they may have just run into copyright issues there, you can get some T-shirts.

Some in game possibilities: a guild cloak, only as a purchasable cosmetic, we would have all bought that. A guild hall, only via cash shop, we would have pitched in for that.

I was constantly told the lag was due to my computer and/or connection.

The game died when Stand Stone Games was initiated into Daybreak Games LLC. As a life time subscriber, I made it to Mount Doom and saw the One ring destroyed.

I will also share this :

    _______

"In regards to your correspondence concerning Daybreak Game Company LLC, your position was communicated to the company. We regret to inform you that BBB was unsuccessful in obtaining a response from the company.

When a business does not respond to a dispute, its report with BBB is updated to reflect an unanswered dispute which has an adverse affect on its BBB rating. If the company has contacted you, please let us know so that our files may be updated. If not, we regret that BBB can be of no further assistance.

We appreciate you taking the time to contact BBB and report your experience. Please be assured that your complaint will remain in BBB’s file for this company for three years, and may be referred to if a pattern of similar practices emerges."

    __________

As my first complaint was filed too SSG, which apparently doesn't even exist anymore.
I would go as far to say no one should trust Daybreak Games LLC or EG7, they are running these games into the ground for the money grab, they have no loyalty to what Turbine created or the other titles they have. EG7 is a board room of greed.

Well, not all cosmetics appeal to everyone, I can remember having a laugh about the way our girls would always turn up for events in dingiest Moria with their best dresses on, some of which were purchased I think. :)

Whereas a guild cloak or HQ would appeal to nearly all of us, going outside of cosmetics for something that is not P2W is hard to do.

This would be the case of No Serviced Rendered! If you paid with your Credit Card, you can file a claim with the financial institution. Digital purchases are now taken seriously.

From following the forums the majority of those that have mentioned not having their accounts anymore was because they got hacked and the account was later banned.

No explanation would most likely be because the email went to the hackers email, vice yours.

    SWG (pre-cu) - AoC (pre-f2p) - PotBS (pre-boarder) - DDO - LotRO (pre-f2p) - STO (pre-f2p) - GnH (beta tester) - SWTOR - Neverwinter
