Welcome to a gaming world where the demands of an inferior platform with a screen the size of your hand and a control interface that is a joke dictate what gets made and how it gets made.

I remember the time when Blizzard started touting MAUs instead of subscription numbers and then said Activision had nothing to do with the Blizzard side of development.......

Blizzard is dead. Wake up sheeples.

Given how much money it's made...it was not the wrong decision.

In 2021 the mobile games market made $93.2 billion in revenue.

In 2021 the PC games market made $36.7 billion in revenue.

    You do the math.

By the same logic Hollywood should tell musicians what music to make. Because Hollywood blockbusters make so much more money.

If only mobile games were generally that much higher quality, more immersive, and deeper (where it's beneficial)....  No one would complain.

They aren't.  We all know why mobile makes so much: the ubiquity of mobile devices being on hand 24 hours a day, coupled with incredibly predatory monetization.  People can be pestered 24 hours a day to hop back in and spend more money.  People will launch game apps while literally taking shits.  Regularly.  In that light: console or PC gamers don't and shouldn't give a fuck that mobile makes more.  They can and should judge companies that lean into that market, especially if those companies were continuously successful without having to do so in the first place.  Doubly so if it results in a rather unsavory monetization method being intertwined with the game loop of their favorite IP.

What a bunch of empty suits are responsible for this wretched abortion of a gambling simulator masquerading as a game? Say it ain't so.
