Earlier this month players of Starvault's Mortal Online 2 were informed that they will learn much more about what's headed down the pipe in an upcoming stream with CEO Henrik Nystrom. Last week, Henrik took to the weekly Twitch Stream and provided a new Roadmap, that details plenty of new features.

I think it's a sub? Can't recall, but I also believe they have their own launcher so I'm sure some players play there. I bet the bulk are on steam though.

I actually had a lot of fun.  Buggy to be sure, but a lot of fun nonetheless.  I look forward to returning.

Psychopath game has a roadmap? The veterans who invested too much time into MO2 are so blind to see that they are one of the main reasons for it's demise. Killing everyone just because you can is not roleplaying, its serious sign of mental disorder. It might be allowed by the game engine but so it is in RL and how many murdering psychopaths do you see on the streets?

No fate but what we make, so make me a ham sandwich please.

Did they finally do the "map rebalance" or whatever it was? This article shows no awareness of MO2's past issues and the on-going dilemma of "many promises, few results." The main issue is that the map needed redesigning... if they've done that, great, but I never heard about it. Adding a bucket list of "fun new activities!" is fine and all, once you have a solid base game that is well oiled and works. Last I heard, MO2 was still beta-quality as far as player experience (unless you just want a free-for-all PVP colosseum with nice graphics.)

Not sure if they started a sub yet.  It was put on hold at launch because of how bad the game was.

With so many changes on the way, will you be giving Mortal Online 2 a try? Pop into the comments and let us know.

Will these changes get me to try out an open PvP gankbox? Um, no.

This must be part of the game then, I found that post confusing.

Sub has not started yet.  On a recent stream Heinrich said the sub would be between 14 and 25 dollars.

Now I’m a believer in subs and in premium pricing for some… but $25 a month would be suicide for these guys.  They get a thousand players with no sub… at $25 that probably drops to 100 players.

Think they're at least partially conscious that their game design caters to an extremely small niche at this point, they are just grasping at how to monetize a niche that small.

Well I think its been 12 years they have been at this niche... Since MO one "launched" in 2010.  You would think they should have the monetization locked down by now.

It's weird because originally everyone thought it was a scam when MO 1 shipped so messed up, beta on a disc and all of that. But Henrik kept it running for as long as it has, and kept updating it even through the lack of players. He really just seems to want to make an MMO that he wants to play, I'm not sure if MO2 was specifically to try to bring in more players or what, but even now it seems like they are still just going catering to their extremely niche audience that plays.

you got it wrong he said about 14,25$ .. so definitely below 15$
in my opinion a normal sub price

If they made this game where there was guild/faction pvp, and the game world was PVE, they would have a much more successful game.

As was said before, my time is too limited as a working adult to waste it being ganked repeatedly.

Killing everyone just because you can is a serious sign of mental disorder, if you do it in the real world. Within a game that has abundant PvP it isn't necessarily a sign of anything other than the players that do so likely enjoy it within the artificial environment of the game.

I kill dozens if not hundreds of NPCs representing humans or other intelligent beings every time I play a MMORPG. I don't then go for a walk after and slay every person I randomly encounter in the course of my journey. I'm not exceptional in this regard but part of the overwhelming majority.

The playing of violent games in itself doesn't cause mental disorders.
