I guess this is newsworthy since it took them almost 1 year to get 9.1 out, othewise, the patch release looks pretty much 'normal' compared to previous expansions.

I hate these expansion delayed patches. What happened to getting everything you paid for at once not on a piece by piecemeal basis?

Yeah, continuous support and free content is bad.

Dear God, is this what WoW criticism has devolved into?

I’m not positive, but I think he’s referencing when they don’t hit their deadlines or the xpac launch and put stuff in later when it should have been the base expansion. Not positive though.

And to be fair, it’s not free content. You pay for an expansion AND 15 a month, unless you’re doing tokens.

Agree and even if you are doing..tokens, there is someone else paying the sub for you. So you are literally paying for it.

It doesn't work that way in an expansion that has an average 2 year life-cycle. They can't just frontload all of the xpac's content in at release. Especially since the later patches include higher raid tiers. WoW has been that way since vanilla.

    That's what I meant. Thanks!

Were all expansions like that even in the beginning?

I played WoW at launch and most of the expansions and they have always been like this. Never once did they just release the entire content of an expac day one then not touch it again until the next expac. Pretty sure no MMO has ever done that. You guys are literally complaining about something that has been a staple of MMOs since there were MMOs. Complaining to complain. Might as well complain WoW had tab targeting combat.
