Outriders or Scarlet Nexus?

I know they're both 2 completely different games, but both are on Xbox Game Pass and I'll probably only be able to play one before my subscription runs out. I'm looking for a good singleplayer campaign and have no interest in progressing a character past the end of the game, which I assume Outriders lets you do.

Whilst that may be the case, I was hoping that Outriders may warrant a playthrough just for the campaign anyway? Or is it pointless if I'm not gonna be carrying my character on when the campaign ends?

Campaign is okay with outriders. The gear and specs are worth the play through.  Scarlet nexus is way more story and character focused.  I'd say go outriders if you liked the story in gears of War. Scarlet nexus if you enjoy anime franchises.

Not really a fan of anime at all, but if the gameplay and story is decent enough then I can look past that.  I'll go with Outriders for the time being though... Perhaps if I manage to complete it before my sub runs out, I'll give Scarlet Nexus a shot.  Thank you.

Both stories are pretty short. If you've got a week and about 5 or so hours a day I'd think you could get through both main stories.

I'm pretty sure Scarlet Nexus has a demo on most platforms its available on, so maybe try outriders first.

Outlanders and Scarlet Nexus are wildly different. If you don’t like anime, skip Scarlet Nexus, not only because of how it looks and its story but because a LOT of the game involves visual novel style interaction and exposition.

Both games have quite the attitude and style. I think Scarlet Nexus is much more original with a great combat system but Outriders has more replayability and loot.

Me? I ran away with Scarlet Nexus and am madly in love with it while “only” really liking Outriders. I am a huge anime and Platinum Games fighting style fan though, its almost Persona style presentation helps too.

'This does not apply just to ED but SC or any other game. What they will get is Rebirth/X4, likely prettier but equally underwhelming and pointless.

It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.

It is just huge resource waste....'

I really don't understand your point about Scarlet Nexus. I really enjoyed the game and believe it's one of the best in 2021 along with Tales of Arise. I played most of the major releases in 2021 and can tell it - but it's also my opinion. Also, level design is not great, but good and tries not to test the player's patience. It's linear and it's great. I LOVE linear games. I'm already really tired of these curved-complicated multi-leveled levels.
