The fact that blizzard added two Chinese themed bunnies to the 12 month sub, pet and mount, makes this whole ordeal seem odd.

It feels like something that should have been a done deal went south and I doubt it was just "the proposed terms requested by the U.S. company unacceptable".

Western companies should never bow down to the Chinese commie government. But too many of them do. Sucks for the player base there but we've given too much to China for nothing but access to their market. Globalization is terrible for the world hopefully this and the Microsoft deal will never go through.

lol chinas not communist anymore, its state run capitolism, but yes blizz did the right thing in not letting them dictate terms

To me it is more a communist regime that has allowed capitalism up to a point, the values of the state are still communist in nature if not practise. But we may be saying the same thing here, not sure.

Its when the Communist leadership slips into Fascism, this seems to happen  every time, and China may well be the best example of this. Socialism/Marxism - Communism - Fascism, the further left you go, the worse it gets. I think the answer this time though is simple, Netease tried to force Blizzards hand and get them to renew, it didn't work, and so this happened.

You got me.....until "Globalization is terrible for the world!"

We got this far exactly because of Globalization. Because Globalization we sky-high in every possible way, especially technology, information, etc. Globalization means being open to the rest. Why do you think China and Russia got this..big of a mouth now? Because they were opened in this Globalization for the past 30 years and their economies sky rocketed and now they feel powerful. Let's see them without Western countries deals and technologies in .. 10 years.

Yes, Western countries also benefited from Globalization a lot.

Globalization is not the problem, but some ..dictators.

If they got the lunar rabbits for the Year of the Rabbit ready it means they were not expecting negotiations to fail.

Globalization started as international trade, which is a boon for the world economy, aspects of it can be taken too far or too quickly, but economic progress is like that, it does not go seamlessly without ruffled feathers.
