3 million... Wow. I tried the game out on a free trial weekend and found it very meh. Here I was a powerful vampire lord trimming bushes, breaking rocks, chopping down trees while eating rats all to do what? Why build new gear so I could trim bigger bushes, chop bigger trees, break bigger rock, and upgrade to eating deer, of course! Felt very unvampire like. Maybe it gets better later on.

Heh, "the upcoming big free expansion". This sounds as if game was already fully released instead of it being in early access without any substentional updates for like 8-9 months. This should be called "a small step up in the progress of finishing our game that is far from being complete yet already raked us tons of money" instead. Here's what they still have on steam store page (what a joke):

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?
“Our focus is to ensure the best experience possible. It is difficult to say precisely how long it will take to process player feedback and further develop the game accordingly. That said, our goal is to finalize the game and leave Early Access within 12 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?
“We want the full version to reflect what our players expect from a Vampire Survival Game. New updates, primarily in the form of features and world content, will arrive throughout Early Access until launch. The current plan to grow our world for the full release features:
    More biomes and dungeons
    New weapons and spell kits
    New enemies
    More Castle decorations and cosmetics
    More crafting recipes
Additional features and increased performance to improve the entire experience

The same reason why you upgrade gear to defeat Big Foes. Some folks really like this kind of shit.

Game is great. I have over 1k hours in it and I keep coming back every few months to no life some pvp servers. People that only played private or pve really haven't played this game. PVP and Raiding is one of the best features. Hopefully we finally get some new content.

I really liked this game, I like all the special abilities, vampire theme seemed unique, boss fights, wasnt buggy, and survival was all fun to me.  Started getting a little grindy but I finished it out.  Its definitely good for 100+ hours for most poeple.

As as good or better than Valheim IMO.

    Fun game overall.

I find the concept of selling DLC's while still in Early Access wierd thou. Like WTF.

Not too obvious in this case.  Didnt they actually charge for a DLC while still in EA?  So its not obvious the next expansion would be free.
