Zenimax has just announced the new chapter for 2023, The Elder Scrolls Online: Necrom. Players will return to Eastern Morrowind, and a new class, the Arcanist, is being added to the game. Read on for Kevin's thoughts on what the studio has revealed so far.

A new class means a new grind to level 50 not in itself hard but the skill lines and mount training are designed to take you and your wallet into the cash shop.
I'm really tired of being "stuck in combat". The last two chapters sucked and this one doesn't look any better. Saving my money for another year.
PvP was not so far as I recall.
You're not interested in the new class so the "grind" to 50 and raising mount skills, and the BS of it leading you to the cash shop, isn't relevant to you anyway.
You raised one valid point.
In other news... this looks like a solid 2023 plan.
I was so tired of their "to be continued..." 2-part chapter schtick that I found so annoying, especially this past year when we all knew who the surprise bad guy was going to be anyway.
Too bad the feature that piqued my interest, the endless dungeon, is a late-year thing.
I'm sure I'll play sometime this year but it just won't be the same without the edgeloords there.
