As an altoholic I like new classes. :)

A few more details are in the link below where I learned the combo points for the Arcamist are called "Crux."

I hope the new class is a true hybrid one. With both magic and stamina morphs for all skills.

It should be, That's how they did it with the Necro and even Warden was better in that respect than the original classes with a Stam-based heal for example.

another lazy, uninspired update. As far as i see, there is zero point to having a new class as it will play exactly the same to the current classes while using the same exact gear.

Would have been better served if they just gave those 3 skil lines to other classes and called it a day. I was hoping to see that they would re-write their terrible code that they constantly blame for all issues and lack of creativity. But no. We just get same old thing.

From what I saw they didn't go into a great deal of depth on anything yet, making your assessment early, uniformed tripe.

I just can’t get into the class system in this game.

Don't know whether it's the class system, the combat or whatever else, but the game is just super weird to me. Beautiful, but weird.

As for Necrom etc? I'll go with Tamriel Rebuilt for that one.

Gonna be a tough one for a lot of people with Diablo 4 coming out the next day. Like it or not there's a lot of crossover between MMO players and ARPG players. I'll be waiting a while on ESO in favor of D4. :D

Good to see you still posting, even if its heresy about MMO and ARPG's being alike. ;)

Silly fella -- not alike, just crossover between the two for players. I love both for different reasons

I'm always lurking, just not posting much. :)

After almost 9 years in ESO I guess I'm finally at the end. The last thing I need a tacky lime green chapter, with uninspiring features and a horse that looks like an Orc vomited pizza all over it. Not one mention of PVP not one mention of year long bug fixes and a story about dead things, dead cities and dark elves.

I has real hope they had listened to people who actually play the game and given us a skill line that all classes could use, instead of restricting it to a new class which means another grind and more crown store purchases.

Every year I sub for a year, but I no longer trust them to give value for my money.

I'll still play when I feel like it, my friends are there, BUT we are all looking for a new game and will be gone in a New York Minute the moment we find it.

Why is it that so many people say they are done with ESO but still keep playing a game they hate?

People that play the game have also been requesting a new class for many years. Also, they did mention bug fixes. The chapter can be purchased without that mount, or one can opt to not use it if the remainder that comes with the package is desired, making it a non-issue.

Necrom and D4 will both be around long after June. I also choose D4 if I'm playing either in June.

And nice to see you posting here :)

Not wrong though. Diablo 4 is likely to sell in the millions in the first week and a lot of them players probably play MMOs so its just a bad release date for them.

Not sure what grind you have, it takes at most a week to get to 50 since you can use your CP, sure for a new player it is much longer, but for a max level account with CP it is quick, unless you just take your time. Which based on what you said I assume you would not want to do.

MAYBE you could complain about not having the mount skills and PvP skills.

Those replying to posts from those who have valid issues that they feel keeps them from the game are not making yourselves or the game appealing. The class does seem pretty dull and not something that jumps out grabs people save for the points crux system, but is that enough to make people want to play it? The mounts are looking like spewed up reskins and the crown store is an overpriced rip-off. The storylines and even the zones are not really pushing any major advancements in terms of a refreshing new experience. Yeah bug fixes were mentioned, vaguely, but what about more news on their servers which were supposed to help out with PvP? What about PvP, is it just the ugly red-haired stepchild shoved in the corner where they do not even want to discuss it? Just come out and say you aren't doing anything with it and let people go about their way instead of hanging on to lost hope. When they initially said they would be using the 4th quarter to make improvements to the game I had some hope that they might actually be spending that time to make some real improvements, but instead they are planning a new feature that no one asked for which will be where a good chunk of their time is spent in development. I doubt we'll see very much in the way of QoL advancements like we did with the armory station. People who play it have legit concerns, just because your standards are low and you'll accept mediocrity does not invalidate anything anyone has said negative about the game here.

Sounds like you're burnt out and need a break lol.

It's OK. It happens. I haven't played myself since September because the little stuff started to annoy me.

It's not the first time I've taken a break from it but I'll be back sometime in the summer most likely.
