"Overall compared to 2021, Activision Blizzard's financials reported higher, bringing in $8.51 Billion versus 2021's $8.35 Billion".

I would check your opening statement. Specifically, the cherry picked net bookings vs net revenue. Official earnings are 7.5B in 2022 vs 8.8B in 2021. EPS paints even an uglier picture. The stock is down 4%.

Yeah this isn't good for Blizzard, the numbers are much much lower on Blizzard's audience totals versus those other numbers (the Mobile game numbers and CoD numbers)

This article makes it look as though OW2 and Dragonflight brought in those numbers... which is clearly not true.

What's worse is I am guessing they haven't included their new 35 million dollar fine, they have probably included presales for diablo 4 in this total as well as yearly sub money. So next year is going to look really bad. Microsoft needs to really explain why it plans to purchase this company, not to the SEC, but to their own stockholders.

I wouldn't doubt that Diablo Immortal was not a big push in them mtu's being up. As much as I dislike the game and a bunch of other people. You can not deny that a mobile Diablo is not helping push them numbers up alot. Heck it has over 10million downloads on the google play store. Thats not even counting China in the mix of MAUs.

Atleast they did mention that Dragonflight hasn't even reached the level of prior expansion.

Holy shit how the hell did they get caught messing up so bad that they needed to pay a 35 million dollar fine, I thought they were experts in the ways of avoiding needing to pay in legal fees, at the very least in those kinds of numbers.

Basically, they do like this entire press release. They hide the actual stats and poo that make no difference to a real investor. They then forget to disclose certain details to the investors that is required. They get caught. Then they lie more. Then they are fined.

Good times. Throw at least 1m at them. I am sure Microsoft is still buying. Put it all in.

If Microsoft get Activision Blizzard then that won't save the company, it will be absorbed and vanish while Microsoft will dominate the industry, regardless of financial earnings.
