Okay - So I'm curious I have WOW - Have not played it in well over 10-12 months. I'm currently into GW.
My question is - is it possible that their could be available right now as I write this a completely free game extremely similar to WOW? If there is I'd sure like to give it a shot.
I highly doubt there would be anything like WOW available completely free, but I figured its worth asking.
I still love my GW - but I'm looking for a break.
Thanks for your time, looking forward to some responses.

No. There isn't. But you can find a lot of aspects in the free games, that are similar to what you are able to do in WoW.
You might want to try Knight Online or Silkroad Online.
I dont even see the similarities between GW and WoW.......
GW is a not a bad game, but other than the instancing, they are nothing similar.
If you are looking for something that is close to WoW, there are other games that are much closer than GW.
No.
1.Ultima Online isn't anything like WoW.
2.Free servers are illegal.
Might I suggest kidnapping a child of a celeb, and the money you receive from your great idea you can pay to play WoW.
Neptus - FFXI - Pandemonium
Neptus - WoW - Detheroc
Well thanks everyone for your replies. Sorry for the late reply saying
thanks to everyone for your input as I've been away for a week. Seems Guild Wars may just be the
one to stick with. I havnt played it in a week - So I'm eager to play it again now. I've also downloaded Silkroad so I
will have to give that a bit of a shot. I will check out Dungeon Runners as well - so I'll see what that's all about.
Thanks again everyone.

Private servers are not illegal. Get your facts straight before spreading bulls*** on the forums. Private servers are against eula's. Will you go to jail or pay a fine for playing on a private server? NO!

Actually, my friend, an EULA is legal contract, however most offenses of it only earn you a temporary or, in serious cases, a permanent ban.
Free servers can get you a fien for illegal reproduction of the game and illegal supporting of an unarthorised server, however because free servers are usually small and trivial the company doesnt even bother wasting the $10,000 needed to file a lawsuit. It's only when a free server gets very large in a way that is detrimental to the official server do they take action.
I hope this has cleared this up.
I think it's the objective of your past self to make you cringe.
Progress Quest is vary similar to WoW, and it has an insane 3D graphics engine for it being free....
Hi! My name is paper. Nerf scissors, rock is fine.
MMORPG = Mostly Men Online Roleplaying Girls

as a note on the "Free servers" thing, as a last word:
Whatever your stance is on them, that's fine.
talking about free servers/linking/anything of that nature is against the rules and can result in a ban, so just watch what you say, and keep everything civil.
That is all, best of luck in your search
That makes me smile.
On topic, while there might not be free games a lot LIKE WoW, there are plenty of free games just as good if not better than it. Runescape, for example. Heh heh...
You should just take a look at the Free MMOG topic stickied in the Pub. A lot of those games are, by my standards, rather awful. But you get what you pay for. Knight Online is okay, as previously mentioned, but it follows the standards of Korean MMOPRGs. Plus, its soundtrack is a single, depressing guitar rift. My lord. Bring a WinAmp.
This is CreativeName's fancy schmancy sig. Let the 'ooh'ing and 'ahh'ing commence... Now.
Actually, if you get a lot of $5 coupons from Best Buy, then you can actually get a WOW game card for free or reduced priced.
You can also see if there is any contest to get gift cards in places that has the game card.
Also, give it time I bet someone will make a free game that rivals WOW.
You have to understand that right there. You get what you pay for. As much as World of Warcraft does not interest me, I have to admit, its a AAA game, and most if not all of the A or higher MMOs are on your left under "released games". The AA and AAA games cannot compare to the free games, its like comparing Kobe steak to ground beef.
Now if you want to really open up your horizons, there is a bunch of MUDs out there, they are text based, and are Online Multiplayer Role Playing Games for the most part. And there are 1000s of different ones, some are based on some fantasy, some are based on science fiction, some are based on some precreated universe(star wars, star trek, tolkien's middle earth.

A legal contract that has never been proven to be legally binding. It's the only legal contract I know of that you agree to after you think you purchased the software, just to find out that you didn't purchase it at all, you paid for the right to use it...hmmmm.
I hope I cleared this up for you "my friend."
