Yeah I'll pop back in and check it out. I play on PC so no PSVR for me, but I bet it's pretty cool in VR. I'm still waiting on a few features in the PC VR HMD market before I get a new one of those. I have the original HTC Vive, and it largely collected dust after the wow factor of VR wore off.

The game has come a long way.

Probably still mega infested with bugs. I booted it up again after years and was faced with textures clipping left and right, floating mid air and what not. I uninstalled quickly. Been through that stuff once.

So hopefully they are eventually fixing that stuff as well.

The new release doesn't have very much. It has some new cosmetics, a new robot pet, and a new ship to earn. I play on PC, so don't use VR. They also fiddled with HDR support in graphics. Also added was an expansion to the number of ships you can have, from 9 to 12.

Of course, they added a few new bugs too, like the refiners not working on your freighter, and your farming plants aren't growing properly on the freighter. It looks like they broke ByteBeat, a method of creating songs and having them play in your bases.

The new Utopia expedition is live, where you start out with nothing in a new star system called Utopia, and have to build up a new base and set up crafting. Then you go through a sequence of different planets, with different goals, including more bases and fighting waves of NPCs. There is a constant stream of people begging for help, like: "Help! I forgot to craft launch fuel and now I'm stuck on a planet!" Lots of people are helping out by providing extra mats for crafting launch fuel and other items.

The new items you earn in the Expedition carry over to your regular games.

Grinded out the whole expedition in a day. Got stuck for a solid hour due to no launch fuel and the restriction of only crafting in bases, which meant I had to make a new base in order to make the fuel.
Overall a really solid experience and I'm glad they decided to keep updating the game.

Make games you want to play.

I usually wait for 2 weeks after an expansion, let them iron out the bugs (which they fix pretty fast).

All in all this the spacegame with the most features out there..and it’s all free.

yes with the new update they fixed many things and broke all the achievements you got in catalog and guides.
PLUS in Freighter window, they dont count even after you regain them.
    Crapiest game ever.
