Ehmm yes I would, I would definatly play on a Pre CU server, I would prefer to play a pre village / Pre Buff server I would choose that, and althought I think SOE should burn in hell, I would like my SWG back, never played CU, I quit two weeks before, I dont know anything about this NGE malarky as I have never played it, it would be unfortunate for many many months but over time all the other ex SWG pre CU people that were bored shitless playing WoW, Eve, Coh and DAoC would come back to try it for nostalgia reasons and would probably end up hooked.
I was looking at screen shots I had taken of my accounts over the 16 or so months I played SWG and its odd how the memories seem so much more real than the other games that I have played since.

i believe part of what has brought the SWG community to where it is now (crippled) is SOE relying on the fact that cyber communities are difficult to organize at best. i salute this attempt, feeble as it may be, to show them that what they have done is wrong. i will be cancelling on June 1st, planned on it anyway this week, and hope it does some good.
im not holding my breath, and waiting for SOE to do the right thing, they never have before. i resubbed a month ago cuz i missed the space game, and its still pretty fun. But allowing SOE to get away w/ this crap is just plain irresponsible. if other companies see they can get away with this type of thing it could be harmful to the entire mmorpg genre.

Then a week later they announced they hit 350k subscribers. Sometime later, a few months, they said they hit 450k subnscribers... Alot of, back then, felt the 450k was a lie since we could already begin seeing the numbers dwindling. Holos had just started dropping and alot of players saw this as bad so left.
But once the numbers began to drop, where it was definately noticeable, they dummied up and wouldnt tell us the numbers no matter how much we begged for them. Then they made the mistake of letting out a astromech stat that showed the numbers. Wow that was pulled quick. It had dropped to 300k.
Then before ToOW was released they changed it from subscribers to franchizes. ie copies of the games. Saying they hit 1 million franchizes. But not saying how many of each game, be it the Original, JTL, RotW, or the whole pack.
You might want to do some research next time before you make a statement like that again.

also, the 300k number came straight out of Julio's mouth, like wise he said on G4TV that classic servers were no problem to implement, they just decided not to.
now of course all sub #'s are padded by the Station Access #'s.

I've not heard anything about a mass cancellation, yet it wouldn't hurt my feelings. It would let SOE know that people aren't there puppets. They can't sit around the office getting drunk saying "watch this, we'll make it so all people have to walk on their hands. It'll be great. Then they'll bitch and moan and still pay, he he he."
If you cancell all your stuff remains intact. even buildings just get condemned untill you pay the fees. Only harversters will destroy when funds run out. All the abondoned ghost towns lay tribute to that.

the only way for soe to listen is for everyone to cancel, which imo the game is on its last leg. the dev's have their heads so far up their but that no matter what they're not going to listen. so really the game will eventually die, there will be a handful of people playing and the devs will tout they have record numbers blaah blaaah blaah we're lining out hte next 50 million publishes, the game is going in the right direction all the while everyone has moved on to other games. i say soe needs to redeem themselves by making classic servers.
In Febuary my SWG account was still paid up, and I took a look at the official forums.. there is a TON of anti-NGE sentiment there. Hell, even Smed was in there posting about the issue. I agree they are forum-nazis, but it's not like a lot of people make out. The official moderators have eased back a lot on censorship as they realized they were shooting themselves in the foot.
You guys should just relax and wait IMO: we will get classic servers, it's just a matter of time is all. Don't listen to that "NO ROLLBACK" crap. This issue has gone far beyond the NGE/CU mess; it is now ruining the SOE name. Don't let yourselves believe that these highly intelligent business men are not aware of the situation they are in.
