Last week we had the chance to go hands on with EA and Respawn's upcoming sequel to its entry into the Star Wars Universe, playing about three hours of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. One word kept coming to mind when Bradford played the media preview: evolution.

Does Fallen Order give you some freedom to use more weapons (or tools) and have some puzzle solving? I read some opinion of someone describing Fallen Order like something like "parkour" or Prince of Persia or Tomb Rider with a lot of platforming.
I never played Fallen Order so I was concerned if it's too scripted and linear with little freedom, even the freedom to make a mistake and fuck up.
And, if Survivor continues the legacy, it's also gonna be a very good game. I just hope there's more replayability. Fallen Order is ... woefully lacking in that respect.
I have only finished Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy once, I enjoyed them, but I don't imagine replaying them again.
We don't get the Expanded Universe anymore, you are right, in a way that is a reason to replay the games. But I personally prefer the books of Timothy Zahn (who is the only Expanded Universe author that I know) and I plan to read the books from other EU authors in the future. When I was around 13 or so and was at my peak of my Star Wars nerdgasm, I found the books being sold someplace so I bought the first 3 of them - the Thrawn Trilogy and read them and at the time I did not know any better and they really clicked with me, they felt like the natural progression of the story after episode 6 and it was many years later that I found out this was called the Expanded Universe and was not officially canonical, but in my mind it is always the canon. After what Disney did to Star Wars, I cannot bring myself to accept that POS trash as the canon story, it's an insult.
Looking forward to this one.
