Yep as suspected the Necro got a significant nerf. That class was god mode in the beta. We will see if it's enough. All other classes got buffs so hopefully between the two this won't be a big Necro fest. Personally I really enjoyed the Druid and plan on maining that at least through the first season short of it being absolutely terrible.

Everyone on the beta also got an email from the D4 team today with some of our own accomplishments. Apparently, I died 15 times while making 943, 000 gold :)

So the only thing this game has going for it is its storyline and nostalgia? I mean there are so many isometric diablo style games that are free and this one is 70 dollars for the base game?

I guess you didn't try the free beta? D4 has vastly superior and refined gameplay compared to other ARPGs.

Many of us can't go back to D2R, D3, POE ect after playing D4.

D4 is going to be a massively popular game for at least the first 2 seasons. You can miss out on fun for the first 6 months if you want, but what else is there to play that's better? That's right there won't be anything better until Starfield.

Yea, all they say is that "there are so many other diablo style games out there", yet they give no real exemple. And if they do, they mostly suck.

I only earned 446,914 gold while dying 26 times, 44 hours of gameplay, and 145 story quests. After having played D4 i cant play PoE or even d3 (which i never liked) but dang d4 is just good fun!

This is exactly how I feel about D4. I was playing Last Epoch until I played D4 beta...and then I couldn't play LE anymore. The gameplay of it just felt awful compared to D4. I tried to get back into PoE in the recent league as well and felt the same way. That is not to say that D4 is better, it might very well not be great for me long term, but right now all I want to play is D4.

I tried both the closed beta and the open beta. The gameplay is horrible. The spells look good, the characters look good, but there is a global delay in skills. The character movement looks terrible. The fact you need a horse to run to quest objectives later to be efficient sucks. The dungeons supposedly they fixed, but they suck. The open world sucks, the town hubs suck. Want an example? D2 and D3 both are better games. My testament, I actually quit playing closed beta mid week because it was boring as hell. No pun intended.

So you kinda called yourself out there by claiming you quit playing the closed beta mid week, because it lasted a month...HMMM KINDA WONDER IF YOU ACTUALLY PLAYED IT :P Anyways, you're entitled to your opinion, but the game is going to sell 10m+ copies because you're in the minority. You must be so furious about that bro!

Oh btw forgot to mention i played the upcoming riot mmo alpha and it sucks btw...you know why it sucks? cause their other games are good!

Hats off to Blizzard. I like they listen to the feedback because there was a lot (game is going to launch with a ton of work to do, it would need at least 3 months more of work) and probably backtracking was the worst thing experienced by everyone in the betas basic gameplay wise.

Thing is that for me 2 of the major isssues are instrinsic to the game and I dont think they will ever really tackle em:

Map desing and camera distance. Having the camera so close because the maps are small and very little packed because there are framerate and/or bandwidht issues in certain areas where you meet other players doing some quest/pilar. This is also the reason to have very limited (time/space) movement speed/skills. I dont think they can change this focus without remaking the game engine from 0.

Combat. Skill activation are amazing and feel reactive but movement is awful and melee is atrocious. Both from gameplay (I spent half the fights following mobs like a Benny Hill show) and "balance" (you had to eat all AOE and telegraphed attacks if you wanted to kill a boss in less than 2 days like all range classes do). I dont think they will ever be able to fix this completely. Just some patching giving range to melee attacks and extra defense/resistance to certain classes and/or their skills/items.

There are lots of other minor details that speak to me about D4 being a project in works. Launch day feels almost like an early access (something I can understand from F2P or 20$ games but not a 70$ one).

The respec costs need to fork off though and what with this BS of not being able to reset dungeons...need to go badger some other people to open your damn dungeon you want to run solo.........lol

Btw those of us that didn't get that email was likely cause we had the receive news and special emails unticked.

Hmm not sure if Ive restricted emails from blizzard or they just stopped emailing me. Didnt even get a notice about the beta and jumped in for one day only.

    Odd...

But as far as i can tell, D4 is just going to ignore POE's existence, and the fact that Diablo isnt the king APRG in the industry, and just act as it did for D3 being in an ARPG monopoly and only really slightly improving on D3, which was so far behind POE by ROS it wasnt even funny (aside from combat feel i guess)

So here we are a decade later for Diablo and the IP hansnt evolved one shred. Im not sure theyve even effectively ripped off solid APRG systems that POE invented....which is sad....

How cant they ignore such a lovely content system as Delves is beyond me....ect
