I'm looking forward to launch for sure, but one thing that has bugged me about D4 is that Lilith is not exactly... tempting? I mean seriously there's nothing attractive about her. I realize she is a demon, so why is this important? Inarius. What about Lilith made Inarius look at her and think "now THIS is someone I can join with to create Sanctuary, populate it with humans, and escape the eternal conflict of angels and demons". I mean not only is she not physically attractive but every interaction with her exudes evil, manipulation, and betrayal. My only thought is that I guess Inarius is not the Angel of Big Brains. Quite the opposite actually.
Oh and I'm calling it now, you're going to have to fight and kill Inarius at some point. Dude is singularly focused on one thing: getting back to his "rightful place" in the heavens, and I bet at some point in the story he's going to view you as an impediment to that. I don't know how, but it may be you end up killing Lilith, so you basically "kill steal" him and the heavens decide there is no redemption for Inarius. Never mind he brought this on himself.
That's just armchair predictions from me. I have no insider info. I could be totally wrong. Well find out in a few more days.

In myth if not Diablo lore, Lilith is famous for her ability to assume any shape, in particular that of any women she desired to be.
So think of this as Lilith 'after the marriage', she doesn't have to look like a young starlet or a mature and sensible women as she thought would best suit her when meeting Inarius.
Here's what i want to know before i throw $100 usd at it; are the maps/dungeons/zones/whatever- randomly generated?
Because it would be really nice to get back to the oldschool feel of a randomly generated dungeon that i haven't seen 900,000 times (looking at you Diablo 3).
EDIT: nevermind, found my answer in a cute reddit chain. xD
Did you play the hell out of D3? If not my guess is that random maps aren't actually as important to you as you make them out to be. If so then yes you have your answer. Open world is static, dungeons are random. P.S. you don't have to drop $100 on the game unless you're just a huge fan of cosmetics because that's all the extra money gets you.

Totally peak reddit at its best. If you do pick it up, pay attention to the differences between the top and middle tier bundles. You can save yourself a little cash unless you want to skip 20 battlepass levels and have an exclusive emote.
Skipping the first 20 BP levels mainly garners you quick access to some cosmetics, but I personally don't like paying to skip a battlepass I paid for. It just seems over the top to me.
The emote is likewise useless for me because I barely use them in games where I get them for free, let alone buying them. I mostly use emotes in single player games where I'm the silent protagonist and NPCs are constantly greeting me. I wave at them. It feels weird to just walk past someone that greets you. I wish developers would come up with something better.
I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of Diablo 4 beta. Having played, D2, D3, PoE, Last Epoch, Grim Dawn and others. The gameplay itself is fun, but yet again, it fundamentally FAILS in terms of an RPG. You know, the key aspect of the genre aRPG. The skill trees are so lackluster and shallow that every class will end up playing same build. I don't understand these devs and how awful they are at their jobs.

it's funny I was thinking of adding "except the Skyrim one"
