I'll give this a go if there's an english manual patch someone comes out with like people did for pso2 when it was exclusive to japan for all those years.
So, genuinely wondering; what exactly is so hyped about Blue Protocol, and what does it offer that distinguishes itself from countless other anime style "action combat" games?
I've looked at a few videos, both of combat and of general features and I'm not entirely impressed. Curious? Yes, impressed? No not really.
BP doesn't look bad by any means. It just looks...... milquetoast and generic. So much so that in several videos I thought I was just looking at Genshin Impact.

I must have watched the same videos. It's a very pretty game, but it gives me Bless vibes. Easy avoid.

It's not like there are a bunch of new, AAA MMORPGs launching every month and one must do a lot do stand out from the competition. If only one or two major, new MMORPGs launch each year, and you like MMORPGs, then you ought to at least have a look at the few that launch.
Err wait for the launch and reviews when it comes out with an English translation here? Regardless of how many new MMORPG's are launching, indeed perhaps because of that, would it not be a good idea to give yourself the best experience of a new MMO? An experience where you can actually read the words?

Nothing. It's simply that Western audiences are so starved of MMORPGs these days. And that's because the West, for the most part, quit on the genre over 10 years ago. The recent exception, and failure, that was the New World reminded the West of why they abandoned ship so long ago. Every MMORPG we now see comes from Korea (ughhhhh), China (ughh), or Japan (eh...), none of whom make good MMORPGs, but each of whom at least still make them. So, if you're an MMORPG fan, where else do you have to look except for the copy/paste cloners of the East?
Blue Protocol isn't even a true MMORPG. It's another one of these hybrid MMOs. On top of that, it's made by the Japanese, who IMO don't know how to make MMORPGs or online games all that well (you know, since most of their technical online infrastructure still rests on technology from mid-2000's). The only reason Final Fantasy has garnered so much attention ties back to my first paragraph: there's absolutely no mainstay MMORPGs to contend with it other than that tired, tedious WoW (that, and because it carries the Final Fantasy brand name). By no means is it a good MMORPG, either. And from a technical design perspective, it's archaic. Square's entire account management website is a window into how the Japanese internet on average functions: Yeah, like it's 2003 all over again...
Look. I'll tell you the first turnoff and red flag you should look for in any MMORPG: zone channels. Which, of course, Blue Protocol has. If you log into a game and can flip between "channels" (Channel 1, Channel 2, etc.) each of which has their own 30-60 players, just quit now. You aren't playing a real MMORPG. You're playing some Asian hackjob of an MMORPG that's likely to work around some centralized hub for quests and offer you nothing new as a player except perhaps some flashy graphics.
These games are fine for filling some time, and definitely fine for younger gamers who haven't had decades of experience playing video games. But for anyone who is a veteran MMORPG player, this is just more forgettable anime-nonsense we've already seen in dozens of games before. There's no depth or longevity to games like these. And they are too similar looking to anything else sharing the anime aesthetic to stand out. Go to Steparu or Rendermax's YouTube channel and tell me what the difference is between the 100s of Anime MMORPGs they are currently previewing and/or testing. You can't. There's so many to keep track of nowadays, and they all look exactly the same. But that's Asia for you. At least Blue Protocol is Japanese. It'd be even worse were it Korean or Chinese... But this isn't some MMORPG to put on your roadmap and expect it to scratch what has by now turned into an unscratchable itch.
But to each their own, I guess. I'll give it a shot too. Because as an MMORPG player since the 1990's, I must. I figure a few hours at best before I lose interest. But hey, BP... Surprise me!

If you mean Amazon's translated version (and not a fan translation for the Japanese client), I guess that some people might also want to play the unadultered game without the "westernization", AKA "adaptation to Western sensibilities" (which won't be limited to the localization) that AGS is probably working on right now.
The thing that i'm slowly seeing, and this happened when PSO2 launched in japan; is that the hardcore fanbase is going to get their fill of this game on the japanese version- and by the time we get it-whenever that may be- it's going to be replaced by a new shiny thing.
This is why one day i'd love to see online video games like this to be able to launch their games globally and in all languages- but that'll likely be so far into the future and most of us won't even be on this world anymore.

do this process need VPN to play this game, or to play it on june 14, cause other tutorials in the youtube says you need a VPN to play the game, so your IP address will not detected and get banned banned.
i just want to ask cause on this page/ tutorial i dont see a VPN tutorial to play Blue Protocol.
I used to play a golf game in Korean. Had to take screen shots and translate. It was very tedious but i got it figured out
Google Translate is a live translate now, so you don't even need to do screenshots. There's also an app called "universal game translator" that can translate on screen text as well. I haven't used it though, the setup didn't seem worth it.

There are ways of translating games on the fly, but if you are putting money in I advise you wait for the studio to translate the game.
