If I had a Ring of Power for every time someone said that Lotro was "RIP" I would be the Bling Lord of Tolkien's world. :)

I mean.. Turbine didn't manage to fix these horrid lag issues and how many years has it been now under SSG?

The constant frame stutter issues in many places like dense forests, Lothlorien, riding your warsteed, etc. It's been an issue with the game for at least 8 years now.

First see, then believe would be a prudent response here.

If true that still does not mean the game is dead.

He's correct, people have been saying that Lord of the Rings Online would be finished for years. Then again, I think any notable game has its vocal detractors.

And I think dealing with "lag" is easier said then done. Elder Scrolls Online seems to garner this criticism.

The only lag I ever experienced was using the war steed as it rubber bands all over the place. But I deal with it.

If we waited for any game developer to fix the things we hate then we wouldn't be playing these games at all.

OR ... people should just move on. Life is too short.

I hope that they manage to fix or reduce the in-game lag. I stopped playing a Warden because of it as I just got sick of gambits being screwed over.

One thing I think that is not appreciated is that as a MMORPG ages you should expect issues, that does not mean a good team can do nothing, but there is a limit to what they can do.

I imagine part of it is that it's an old engine and it has a lot of old code that a lot of programmers have messed with.

    That's a lot of "lots."

I also imagine that a "lot" of problems have happened as the game was worked on over years and the larger it got the more issues they discovered.

Nice, LOTRO is running much smoother now. Tip if you are still getting some stuttering. Go to troubleshooting under options and reduce the framerate from MAX to 120. This seems to help a lot if you have a new gen graphics card (too strong).
