    Revelation Online....? What? lol Even Rift is more alive than this game. All the options you had and you choose Revelation Online. Didn't even mention Archeage. Sure the monetization of the game is garbage (and so is Revelation Online's......) but everyone who played it more than likely knew the tab-targeting of that game was top tier. Sure the list is opinion but that felt like a stretch, sorry.

    Tab-targeting MMOs boil down to the same ones that have been out for (mostly?) over a decade? I’ve read some depressing articles in my day, but this one really hit hard.

    Wait, isn’t Secret World tab-targeting w/ some sort of optional aiming mechanism? I don’t remember, and that doesn’t make me any happier. I mean, the state of MMOs may actually be worse than we’re always complaining about.

    instead here we have a website that trys to sometimes be positive and start some conversation around certain topics but the posters do nothing but complain about it, me I prefer tab target MMoRPGS

    To be fair the list is supposed to be 'best' and not 'most populated.' Though lets be real, nearly every article like this is just regurgitating the same 8 or so most popular and played MMO's, someone on their team realized that and they threw a random and unexpected game into the mix to hide the fact that all of these "best of X" lists might as well be copy and pasted. Maybe thats on MMORPG.com or maybe thats on the state of MMORPG games over the past decade.

    There are many MMORPGs available. They vary in nature such that they can suit a wide variety of tastes. Their state isn't so much the issue as the perception some have of it. If one is prone to reject just about everything it can be quite hard to find anything no matter how numerous options are.

    There is a huge legacy of very well done games using tab over the last 25 years in the MMORPG genre. These days, my mates, my guildies, my clan, my friends, and myself, prefer moving forward with combat that does not use tab and to break away from Tab. Just to think of the confinement of every studio in the West copying Blizzards MMORPG design formula makes me tear up a bit because the originality has been lacking for some time. Everyone has been assimilated... It is time to move in another direction and has been for over a decade or more in terms of UI, game play, combat, all of it. And to top it off, server tech has improved drastically to handle the load of much larger populations than previously designed, yet it needs to become affordable and accessible. I wish these game listed above continued success but with AG making a new LOTR and perhaps the Star Wars MMO rumors from months ago might be true only because I thinks so due to SWTOR status, maybe it is time to move forward here in the west away from the tab design? But back on topic: SWTOR is a fun game, LOTRO is an excellent PVE game, if you like classic games, check them out for sure. They are fun and have really good communities. For me, I want new.

    Would be nice if some devs would go back and actually play EQ so that they could copy it instead of copying the sloppy seconds of blizzard's dumbed down interpretation.

    If anyone here truly still cares for tab-target-MMORPGs I'd add some to the list

    - EverQuest 2 Time Locked Expansion servers

    - Project: Gorgon

    - Guild Wars 1

    - Warhammer Return of Reckoning (legal private server)

    You list Revelation Online but miss mentioning a plenty of other tab targeting MMO's which are loads better than RO. Kinda lame...

    And here I thought DIVERSITY OF OPINION IS OUR STRENGTH. However,  some people DEMAND blind compliance at all costs. 

    Here is my thought of the day: Don't behave like a brainless COMPLY-BOT IF you have a HUMAN HEART.
