    The game is ok until you have to set the equipment to PEN, at which point it's just masochism.

    Not familiar with the game. What is PEN pls?

    PEN is a soul draining mechanic in Black Desert. You have to upgrade your gear for resist penetration I think it means. Failure is high and you have to buy items to reduce failure. It gets worse the higher you go. At some point you just want to shrivel and die when it fails.

    Basically just enchanting gear. Seasonal gear can be enchanted to PEN without much of an issue. I imagine non-seasonal gear is quite difficult.

    That's why every time they gave away the daily items I would just sell them and buy my gear.

    I figured out that it took more time and effort and in some cases "money" to go through all that nonsense. 

    Anything and everything that I got, whether it was from the daily giveaways or that "lottery" box, or whatever it was, I would sell. Sometimes it took a while to sell my lower tiered gear but eventually someone would buy it.

    It is a good MMO until you see how problematic the upgrading weapons and armour system is, that turned me off.

    How long will this upswing last three months? Games today bring out expansions and they have no effect on the long term player base, they can return to their old numbers even after a month. It is a mercurial world of gaming we now live in.
