Facebook's metaverse just went live

    Do you mean Crayta is now launching on Metaverse gaming?

    I tried Crayta on Stadia and it wasn't very good. It wasn't so much the idea as the horrible implementation. The games were mostly unfun and felt like demo showcases rather than something to go play.
    It's now Meta's metaverse.

    Sigh, no one is doing this to others, getting banned or not is entirely within a person's control but some struggle to stay within the derined boundaries.

    Might not even be another member who reported him, staff here may be keeping an eye out on certain thread topics or even those created by known "fire-starters", never a good idea to get on an authorities watch list in any walk of life.

    When in doubt always best just to



    Oh, and stay in topic too.

    Have to do some research on what Crayta is all about, but at first glance seems to be a 3D version of 2nd life?

    What is so different about this verses it or one of the other blockchain metaverses?

    I was actually having an interesting private conversation with BCBully around this stuff because while I hate this touching gaming, he knows more about Crypto than I do by far.

    I didn't even get a chance to welcome BC back. As to staying on topic my last thread after a few pages went all over the place, that's how a thread rejuvenates itself. But staying on topic is part of the sites rules, so follow it as best you can.

    Talking of which, this is just the sort of emperor's clothes which I would expect to be called Metaverse, which is just the internet with some extra connectivity.

    I don't know if Crayta really changed, but it was just an equivalent of Core, which is just a Roblox competitor.

    Basically, it was a platform for game development with premade tools/assets/studio. And people can come play them online. Just as Roblox.

    No Metaverse here. Which is, to my understanding, adding an extra layer of interactivity between the real world and the online one.

    Crayta doesn't really add a lot of value to playing each game and the social aspects feel very forced. The Metaverse aspect is just that this is now releasing on Facebook Gaming (Metaverse) and will let FB creators add games. As I mentioned above, Crayta has been on Stadia for quite a while where it flopped horribly.

    The problem with Crayta is most, if not all, the games are boring and cheesy. Pretty much any game has a better option outside of Crayta on a real gaming platform. The meta achievements and customizations are fine but who cares if the games are boring. Crayta just adds another layer of "whatever" to go through to play a game.

    Maybe it will be wildly popular with Facebook gamers, but I doubt it.
    Well FB "gamers" made Farmville a huge game, so maybe it will be, so far it seems the dots Metaverse is joining up seem to be shoddy game to big platform.

    I know my reply is a bit late, but your post caught my eye. Gotta be honest, I've never really been into these Metaverse-style games. For me, they lean more towards being time-wasters than enjoyable games. Personally, I tend to steer clear of games on Facebook. But hey, speaking of Facebook, I've actually been using it mostly as a platform for advertising and business promotion. Recently took the plunge and decided to Buy Facebook AD Account to widen my audience and get the word out to potential customers. It's been an interesting journey so far!
