Dragon Ball Z is everything wrong with the worst of Shounen anime. Villain of the month stories. Boring fights expanded by entire filler episodes of screaming, attack charging, and recycled punch animations. Over-reliance on tournament arcs done better in other, superior anime. Most of the cast being entirely irrelevant at all times due to being incapable of doing anything to the villain of the month. And the resolution to damn near every problem is a new bullshit level of Super Saiyan or other arbitrary power aura because DBZ has no cap on character power.
DBZ blows. Damn near any Shounen anime has more to offer. One of the most overrated IPs in human history.

As a Dragonball fan ill disagree a lil with what you have said! It is somewhat of a correct statement but thats what dragonball super corrected (tried to on other cases) some of it predecessors problems with its less drawn out screaming and protracted fights i found it still enjoyable and stories alot more condensed (toyotaros influence most likely), but this game it just looks like a reskin/rebrand of DBO and im not happy about it that game didnt do so well and gameplay still looks aged and looks static, with a universe like DB it would be better suited as an ARPG and not tab targetted (same with super hero games in general like ship of heroes) it would of played better as a game similar to marvel heroes omega and not a stand still and let lem hit u fest (this is martial arts)
I bet even age of wushu had more dragon ball on it then this game

I like how you're presenting your opinion as if it has any objectivity. DBZ is undeniably big, but it doesn't deserve better than a shitty chinese game because your opinion says otherwise? Imagine how far up your own ass you have to be to think that.
Imagine being so unable to discern quality that you think DBZ is a great show and not anything more than campy fun.

I think its the fact that for most people DB/DBZ are the only anime they ever watched. Comparing it to others doesn't really matter. Poking at the writing of a cartoon people grew up with doesn't hold much weight.
Many of your points may be true, and yet, DBZ is still by far my favorite go to anime that I have watched dozens of times over. I would say, for me, it comes down to nostalgia. I grew up on DB and DBZ, eagerly waiting for the new episode each week, collecting figures and getting my start into hand drawn animation as a hobby... Now I can binge a whole ark at a time, but I will admit I too skip over some of the filler content/episodes.
That can be said about almost any Shounen anime. As well as adding on that all of them (including dragonball) have massive amounts of filler. Dragonball is one of the larger Shounens so obviously it has a lot of people thinking it's over rated, just like Bleach, just like Naruto, just like any popular anime.
