Save Gloria Victis game

Hi,

there is a game I am playing since 7 years now, it's called gloria victis. It is on steam and it has an average of over 400 players daily. The developers of the game are now shutting the game down on october 31, 2023.

I wonder if any gaming company could see the potential in this amazing game and buy it. The game is fully released and the buyer would just need to keep the servers alive.

It's a low fantasy medieval game with directional attacks, faction cs faction, the only game of that kind.

The players made a pool and several of them would agree to pay a monthly subscription so the best would be to make it optional so we don't loose any players who don't want to pay. An access to a cape/cloak for players on subs would be nice or something like that.

The only MMO worth waiting for is Blizzards new survival MMO called Odyssey. Everything else will basically be as popular as looking at my butt hole.

What benefit would that provide a profit driven gaming company that would make it worth their bother?

The game has few players and only some of them would subscribe. It is unlikely to draw more being in maintenance mode going forward. There is little value if any to doing so.

Gloria Victis only endured due to the passion it's makers had for the game. Even that is no longer enough for it to persist.

The best bet would be for the players to secure the blessing of developer to run a private server for the game. If enough players are willing to donate to the operating cost and maintain it then there would be no need for profit and the game could go on in it's current form indefinitely.

I think a better idea is to recreate the game on Amazon Lumberyard and get free Amazon hosting...
