Is that about right or is there more? If that's it, I'm not sure that this is going to be the expac that saves New World... not that it needs saving because I'm pretty sure Amazon is willing to prop it up financially as a marketing expense for other developers to be willing to sign on to hosting their games in AWS.
The game is getting more inline with the norm.
Bye ward/bane perk. Bye expertise. Lvl cap will be...65 i think? So many changes happening i am surprised by the short ptr.....oofta.
There really is a ton of changes, i even read that they updated the combat code. I have 2 concerns really which mirror yours. 1st is will there really only be 1 zone with max level content? 2nd is, why the short PTR? If we have learned anything from AGS in the past, is that they do not test their new content enough. Those 2 things aside, i will probably just make a new character when i return and see if i can enjoy the leveling process as pretty much the whole game is different than at launch. And it is a beautiful game graphically. I just could not get past all the bugs and clunky combat i was experiencing....
That helped a lot with the zone difficulty once you had good weapons to play with.
But yeah, getting all your gear slot expertise to 600 and then to 625 with Umbral shards was an obnoxious grind. I'm happy to see that they finally clued in about how universally hated that was and got rid of that whole system.

Well I don't think they'll need to prop it up. The game apparently sold in excess of 17 million copies at $50 a pop. So that is getting on for a billion dollars in sales. So it has probably already generated enough income for several patches. I liken it to No Man's Sky. Released too early but many updates later is maybe the best space sim out there. Maybe NW will follow the same path.
