WOTLK is why I started playing WOW to begin with. It was the hope we'd see the continuation of Arthas's story in WOW since the vanilla game launched. When it finally arrived, it did not disappoint. The way they weaved Arthas into quests and dungeon encounters really upped the ante story wise. And the ending of Icecrown when you won was the culmination of most of my time spent playing games back to Warcraft 3. I left WOW after this as Cataclysm (and nothing after) felt like it was as big or as important to me as WOLTK.

Right but the question is are they going to stop here or has "Classic" simply become a progression server that's going to eventually catch up with live? I haven't gotten back into it because I simply don't have time for it anymore, but this is the pinnacle of WoW in my opinion. Are they going to leave thing here or will the demand for new content force them into the next expansion? We'll see.

Random Dungeon Finder is EXACTLY the reason I took my first extended break from WoW, and why I consider WotLK to be the worst expansion. It forever changed the social dynamic in all MMOs, for the worse. Much, much worse.

Before RDF, players were reasonably polite and supportive to the strangers they wanted to enter a dungeon with. Under RDF, however, players began to see each other as disposable slot-fillers. Instead of helping each other reach a mutual goal, it became more about criticizing and even abusing the supposedly "underperforming" members of the party, even when the dungeon run ended successfully with no real problems. It was a regular occurrence and disgusting to watch.

    Right on time.

Just got back to Wotlk since HC Classic is .. much like been there, done that ( a lot ). Its not bad but .. grinding to 60 for like ..110+ hours and then lose your char in a dungeon or raid ( or until lvl 60 ) , is .. not really my cup of tea.

What I like about it is that is full of people. That's it!

Anyway, never raided the almighty Lich King ( as it should ), so this time I will do my best to finish him! :)

For those excited for the next patch and for RDF, but don't liek all the toxicity in the game... come to Maladath and seek out Avengers of Hope!
