I was wonderin if there was a MMOrpg that allowed players to make laws or contolle the government? Of course you couldnt just get into the gov and start making laws, but you would have to work your way up and then become a gov, mayor, even pres. So that way you could be a diplomat instead of a fighter. Like in some games you can be a crafter instead of a fighter. I think it would add a good aspect to any game. And of course you would have to be voted into the offices and what not.
If there any game that alrerady as something like this?
Thanks

When you join a faction in FoM you start as rank 1, and can work up to rank 7 (rank 7 being the faction leader)
in FoM pretty much anything someone does can start something, player politics controls alot of this game. Lets say a rank 4 person from one faction kills a rank 6 from another faction, there will probably be countless political talks and maybe even a war :P
Speaking of government control there is the "Law enforcement department" (LED). The LED is the police force in FoM, but the police isnt NPCs who shoot at players with "bad reputation" the LED are real players. The rank 7 is the commissioner and controls all the LED and it's laws. Even though if he wants a new law to be passed, it has to go through a GM run "senate".
Sounds like a good game eh? Shame that alot of things spoil FoM.
Might want to check it out. No free trial though
some texted based games(easier to implement)
and wurmonline in some of those aspects. crafting and town making(player controled)
I find it amazing that by 2020 first world countries will be competing to get immigrants.
You perked my interest in this game, it is to bad that it does not offer a free trial
