A real shot in the arm for MMOs, there is huge interest out there, but is it just to watch or could it also be to play which is what really matters.

Fredrick Knudsen, known for his series "Down the Rabbit Hole," has released a six-hour documentary/video essay that comprehensively covers the twenty-year history of EVE Online, its impact, and its community[1][2][5]. The documentary explores the history of EVE Online, breaking the video into twenty-eight sections that touch on the various touchstones over the years[2]. The documentary is available on YouTube and has received over 1.5 million views in seven days[2].

In addition to Knudsen's documentary, there are other documentaries available that explore the making of EVE Online and its community. For example, The Escapist produced a documentary called "Belonging: An EVE Fanfest Documentary" that explores the community that powers EVE Online[6].  www.mycvshr.com

Overall, there are several documentaries available that explore the history, impact, and community of EVE Online. Fredrick Knudsen's six-hour documentary is a comprehensive look at the game's history and is available on YouTube.

I'm thinking 1.5M people in this world clearly have too much free time on their hands. ;)

I mean, I like EVE but 6 + hour documentary?

I can recommend some better ones on Netflix or Prime if needed, probably shorter too.

    :)

Maybe. It seems the video is using an electronic voice though.

I guess to each their own. I just wasted 4 hours of my life watching an excellent pair of documentaries on YouTube on the lead up, cause and aftermath of WWI but focusing on the five monarchies that were extinguished as a direct result of the conflict. My wife is of the opinion it would have been more fun to watch a 4 hour video of paint drying. :)

The author says he narrated it. Does not bode well if you sound like an AI and a boring one at that. I tried to watch but it was too dry for me.
