Interesting is one way to put it. If it's even playable for the first 24 hours I'll be surprised.

This will be the best day ever if launch time comes and it's just yet another announcement for a delayed release. xD

You know, because I don't follow games in development, I used to think this was made by the same guys who made Days Gone, which was on my to play list. Then having played it and thought what a good game it was I decided to check up on Day Before...nope nothing to do with them, just a s*** storm. :D

I mean... This is just another day z clone, ever since they first presented it. People that keeps getting hyped for day z clones is what boggles me more than whatever this ends up to be.

If anything it looks like they were trying to streamline day z to make the coding better and smoother, better graphics and smoother animations. But at the end of the day it will still be shit because day z is boring as fuk. Only sadists love that shit.

There's 0 chance of it being "good".

Even if we pretend that it's playable, the game is still only launching into early access. The videos still show clunky movement and a world mostly devoid of any enemies or danger.

And then you have a team of devs that are completely disconnected from their players. They keep going dark for months at a time, can't even be bothered to post monthly development updates. They have proven they can't keep their promises.

LOL I could care less about development updates.  A good game is all that matters.  These people can go dark and never say a word.  As long as the game is good, I would be happy.

I doubt this game will be good, but development updates have ZERO impact on that to me.

That would make sense but this is an MMO or at least it's supposed to be. MMORPGs... I've never known a good one to just announce the game, never run any tests including stress tests, attempt to bring on "volunteers" as unpaid employees, give next to no information about what they're trying to do, and then release an actual game. Especially after saying they would communicate better. They learned their lesson from the videos they've posted so far, the less they showed the better off they would be.

They probably should have stopped any communication much sooner than they had.

But generally more games favor transparency so people don't have unrealistic expectations.

We can pretend that they were heads down, focused on the game up until early access launch but if I were a betting man, I'd bet the farm that this is going to be a forgettable half assed survival "MMO" that will likely crash with 15 people in an area.

If I'm wrong, good for everyone involved. I'll even play it myself shelling over my hard earned money. A good game is a good game.

That's not even the main reason this game gets meme'd as hard as it does; the quality of the game is the least of anyone's concern at this point.(not that anyone even knows what kind of game this is)

EDIT HOLY FUCK (sorry for the swearing)
But omg, i just noticed the screenshot used in this article, and i was like.... "waiiit.... why the hell does that look familiar to me???" image I have to go reinstall Resident Evil 2 Remake to check something, but is anyone else whose played RE2R seeing what i'm seeing? or am i just misremembering that part of the game in the police station where leon's desk can be found?

Why do I feel like the early access is going to be the equivalent of a tech demo with bad tech?

I think what this comes down to, is people dont trust devs anymore.  In this world its very hard to not be skeptical about something when all the red flags are going off.  However this game will live or die based on if its a good game or not.  Updates to the community will not be relevant.

I am tired of watching games doing constant updates to the community but never actually releasing a game.  There is this confusion that updating the community is showing progress.  When we have seen over and over again games going 8+ years of "community updates" and people believe everything is fine and moving along fine.  These updates could go on forever.

Once the general playerbase can actually play the game without an NDA, thats when you will find out if the game is decent or not.

I know this is dumb but i got a bit of a chuckle out of it, i hope someone else does as well.  :)

I really hope they actually release this game, mostly because i want to deep-dive into it's game files and art assets to see if they ripped assets from other games.
