    Studios do seem to be relying on anything with a "name", which is what all branches of entertainment media have been doing increasingly over the last couple of decades.

    In their defense, the entire point of a franchise is to give people more of what they want. No one is sitting there going "god damn, I really loved the Witcher but I want absolutely no more of it.

    And well, this is a pretty damn unique series that has gone way too long without content.

    Tribes was the first PC game I ever purchased (I was a console gamer until the mid 90's). Very nostalgic!

    It appears you weren't yet an ADULT at the time Starsiege Tribes came out. Maybe try researching instead of speculating. I loved that game as many others have. Quite a feat in it's time.
    I'm looking forward to seeing where they are going with this new title.

    I hope they end up making a good Tribes game. I really enjoyed Tribes Ascend quite a bit! I also am a big fan of the OG Tribes!

    Oh man I clocked so many hours in Tribes 2. That game was my jam. Thing that killed it was all the crazy mods people made that made the game something completely different and just silly. The original game mode and maps were the best.

    What are you talking about, it was the modding community that kept it alive! I have played every title ever released for this IP, made some mods in 1 and 2 and can't wait to see what they have in store.

    What I'm talking about are the mods that totally changed the rule set into a completely different game. One I didn't want to play. I liked the vanilla rule set. It's called an opinion. I have one.
