Idk, mmo relaunch with 508 player peak on steam charts doesn't look like "resounding success" to me.

At this point I think they're happy with anything...

I don't think they care who is in game as long as the sales continue. 5000 sold is pretty much all that matters in the end.

Which netted them roughly $87,500 after Steam took its 30% cut.

Won't get very far with numbers like this.

They announced a peak player record the other day of 1100 online at once.
The game has a non-Steam launcher that is the recommended way to launch.

Yeah looking at it it seems people can buy directly on the site too. So I guess it's possible they have higher numbers than steam suggests, and sales aren't all getting a 30% steam cut.

Still the game did kind of just relaunched so the sales are okay for an indie but they need to sustain sales. That's the tough part.

They seem to be listening the community and have frequent patches.
I think the success is probably dependent on how they handle PKs.

For my part, I'm considering a 2nd lifetime subscription just so I can have another house plot near my current location.

Majority of their sales and playerbase play outside of steam along with their purchases

My recent proclamation, that just having the lights on equals huge success for an mmrpg, seems to be holding up nicely.

I’ll give it a try this weekend. I bought the game early on and played pre release. It didn’t draw me in, but I’ll definitely give it another shot.

Way too early for me to get involved, but I wish it every success, the genre needs them!

If they lowered the price a bit I think they would get many more players. I played the beta and loved it. But I refuse to fork out 32 bucks CAD to play it..
