Today an indie MMO releases, Wagadu Chronicles, and MMORPG does not even mention it on this page... Wagadu has been far from good in the Alphas, but still ... it should have been mentioned here.
thats takes some big money to get advertising in time square, maybe the game will live up to it even though zombies are kinda out as far as I can tell, plus, not very impressed by the eternal tombs vid but still have a slight eye on it

It's less then you might think depending on the panel and the allotted time. Some of these panels also are run by phone app programs that allow pretty much anything through as long as the fee is paid.
It's because of the low costs and ease of access ads like this got through on one of the jumbotrons and hundreds of my fellow new-yorkers heard this one day:
So yeah, it might 'appear' impressive that a video game got a time slot on one of the jumbotrons, but those same jumbotrons also have some really weird shit on them like, all the time. So please keep that in mind.
If you want to see actual expensive add space on a Times Square board, then you gotta look for the 3D adspace boards; -THOSE ARE EXPENSIVE.

The Day Before is totally opaque in regards to whatever the game entails. people in the discord keep asking "is it an mmo?" "is it a zombie survival game?" "is it a pvp game?"
and the admins in the discord (the official one) seem to be regular players that didn't get a chance to even test the game. I assume it'll be a bait-and-switch.

You are right, it should have been mentioned. Wagadu has been mentioned many times in this column, and I unfortunately missed the biggest Wagadu news since its kickstarter. It'll be a week late, but I will definitely mention it in Sunday's column.
Days Gone was a great game, it spoke to my inner biker dude.
And I have enjoyed watching 7 Days to Die grow throughout its beta. It's one of the few early access type games I've paid for and continued to revisit throughout its development. It speaks to my inner, uh, inner tree punching dude?

It speaks to my inner psycho sniper headshoting dude....
This literally goes through my head with every zombie that I drop with my much beloved Sniper Rifle in 7D2D.

From the article: Unlike most games that build hype throughout their development, The Day Before has taken a different approach by consistently eroding the trust of the community.
I am still laughing and will wake up in the middle of the night and laugh some more. 10/10 for the article, 11/10 for this one line!
This is one of my favorite columns ever on this site and this has article is epic.

I have to confess I looked at that list and I saw some and was like "Have I played that, I really can't be sure" Then I saw Days Gone, "yep played that one". There are so many games out now with similar names I can lose track.
The latest in MMO-land is Perfect New World, we already have a New World and a Perfect World. Good luck keeping up with all that!

What if these guys had spent more money advertising The Day Before; then on creating The Day Before?
And are these guys about to make more money selling EA The Day Before, then they could have ever spent creating The Day Before?

I see a pattern here!
If it's just a day it's trash but if it's DAYS it's pretty good.
A shame that pattern-days will be gone the day The Day Before launches.
