Wrecks to Riches....Is this based on the Chris Roberts true life story of his rise to riches from duping overly angsty sci-fi fans into buying into his pre-alpha tech demo?

The first addition coming over from Squadron 42 is the inclusion of 20 new hairstyles, allowing players to create more diverse looks for their digital selves within the game.

Wow, 20 hairstyles. Amazing. Truly groundbreaking achievement in sharing 20 whole hair styles between S42 and SC.

Hey, it was really tough porting them over, 'cause the designs on characters had changed 5 times, and they weren't compatible anymore!*

*This is irony, though similar stuff has happened over the decade of SC development.

Wow, I wonder if CIG has now commissioned an AIBot to roam the net and earnestly tell everyone that Roberts is not now an arrogant micromanaging blowhard.

"Wrecks to Riches" might be inspired by various success stories, but it's important to note that Chris Roberts' achievements are diverse, extending beyond any single narrative. Always research thoroughly for accuracy.

    :s beep ..bop.. boop..

AS usual, the same naysayers are spreading their venom. Let's just ignore the 1.7 million individual backers who joined because they can't figure out what is SC beside haters or pretend 20 hairs style are all what have been added or will be added. Meanwhile Starfield, the game 25 years in the making as per Tood, have loading screen inside ships... no functional ladders, same IA and missions than a 12 years old game : Fallout 4.

New backers are coming at each patch despite Alpha status. By the way, the financial model is based on a single requirement: A starter package at 45$ everything else is available in game. Not even counting several weeks per year so everyone can tests the latest version for free... Absolutely discussing behavior LOL

Still fighting the good fight Joe! I have mentioned this before but you white knights do realise that if the game comes out and is good we will all be there. Negative comments, what me, never. :)

But until then it is a pipe dream with a lot of money thrown at it.

    >> that if the game comes out and is good we will all be there. >>>

For us fans ("white knights") the game IS out. We play it regularily. For years now.

Anything extra added just makes it more interesting.

So what if a ladder somewhere is not working as it should. We find another way. But if you are storming a base together after landing nearby in a snowstorm, clear the rooms, grab the loot, drag it to your ship, lift off, sell the goodies at a Smuggler Haven and celebrate the victory with an in-game whiskey from your in-game Christmas (err Luminaria) cup ... then dive in for some PVP in space and ground ....

... then we welcome you when you will also "be there" and ....

    Have fun

Title probably should be worded better, going live is a phrase normally reserved for finished software, this is more of a case of moving features into a UAT environment, not Production.

I actually don't care about SQ42 integration into the base game, total waste of time in my book.

Focus should be on delivering SQ42 as an independent game sooner rather than later.

Star Citizen backers can all go pound sand for all I care, the game they are testing isn't one I'm much interested in, even if it was F2P.

I mean, does it even have any zombies?  Probably not...well, outside of some of the backers of course.  ;)

These last two paragraphs make Star Citizen's focus seem more like a collection of mini games than any sort of actual universe.

"Star Citizen’s popular PvP location, Junktown, has been expanded with Echo Isle, a fourth location and one designed specifically for battle royale style gameplay. There’s also Raven’s Roost, designed for light ground vehicles and Paradise Cove, which should offer shelter from aerial threats.

Arena Commander has seen some additions  in 3.22, as well.  Two new maps, Bloodshot Ridge and Maker’s Point have been added. A number of new modes, including Team Elimination, 2v2 Duo Showdown, and Single Weapon Elimination mode have also been added."

The reason they took so long to get new hair updates was cause modelled and animated each individual hair to reach maximum fidelity! :D

Clearly just some balding jaded old timers envious of the marvellous lush manes that Citizens got along this year along the many amazing updates and of course, another funding record!

Banter aside, their hair tech looks good and the flow seems natural while having zero impact in performance so it's a nice addition.

I guess it makes sense that, if you believe Chris Roberts, you believe what Todd Howard says too.

There's decades of BS to unpack, a gazillion quotes of 'just wait til next year'.  But hey, with a thousand employees, even Chris can't find enough hours of the day to micromanage them all.  Plus I hear he's focused on being a sea anchor on SQ42 now, which should help SC move from glacial pace to the speedy snail's version.

If you are holding out for the perfect game, the only game you play will be the waiting one.

I honestly thought it was a joke video until I saw Babs posted it and was serious.

This game's design offers endless hilarity.

Funny how this self proclaimed technical MMO marvel can have less people playing it at any given time compared a single player game like Rimworld, a simple pixel game made by one person.
