Throne and Liberty has been out in Korea for a month now, and it looks like anyone trying to get in with a foreign account will have a tough time thanks to new changes.

    I lost my access to the game with a bought account as well. Fortunately, it was only $1, oh well. I've had my fill with how it plays and looks at least.

    It's the first move against China and also the americans who contract 3rd world folks out to do stuff for them.

    Tbh it's surprisingly good and fun to play atm.
    Some Dungeon, Game- and Reid Mechanics I saw where pretty awesome and I really enjoyed plaing til now (LV41)...only I wish my friends would play with me, but due to the hurdles they dont. It's a shame, to probably lose my Character on these new security actions, but well -at least I had some very nice hours and regained some faith in T&L again.

    If memory serves, Korean games have always required a phone number, required you to be a South Korean citizen.

    All NC Soft is doing is requiring one to repeatedly verify the phone number.

    Update: I managed to get in by verifying the account with my local number (not KR) somehow.

    YES, so western audience can't criticize it any further, the questing system is clunky AF, it's bad its attempt to cater to consoles messes up the entire interraction with questlines on PCs another example of MMOs trying to cater to console will turn up dog shit

    Questing is bad in most MMORPG’s. It seems in this game they try to make it more involved but end up making it more clunky.

    I have to disagree, betting that the majority of L1/L2 players and fans of MMORPGs will try this game at launch.

    From the streams and reviewers that ive watched most are happy that static combat is fixed and autoplay is removed. Questing is funky though. The game has some amazing graphics, multi-layered open worlds dungeons and several progression system to upgrade your character.

    Yes P2W is there but its capped. You cant buy BIS gear from what I understand its only drops. The cap comes in with enchanting gear +1, +2, +3 etc. and that number is 9, which gives non p2w ppl chance to close the gap.

    I think it's a good, important move. I'm almost ready to forgive NCSoft, now that they've finally agreed to officially license out the CoH IP.

    I think it's a good, important move. I'm almost ready to forgive NCSoft, now that they've finally agreed to officially license out the CoH IP.
    There can be no forgiveness after they nerfed my Bugbear Mage build in Lineage 1 literally weeks after I paid 1M Adena for the spell scroll.

    Price dropped to 30K almost immediately as the build became charisma based and NCSoft offered no way to respec my Wizards attributes.

    No way was I going to reroll as I was level 48 and had managed to get an extremely rare invisibility spell which people were offering me 4M for, but I used it to stealth around in seiges and ninja kill players with meteor storms who already were low on health fighting other players.

    It's been almost 22 years now, and I never will forget. :)
