idk why people even having this go lol, this is the dev of Craftopia.
Palworld is already live on twitch as people are playing it, the game is very similar to Craftopia, as expected. It's rather weird people now have to bring the scam debate on every releasing game... lol
Don't you think "this is not a scam" is exactly the sort of thing that a scammer would say?
Right sepecially when we have heard it a thousand times on things that were most definitely scams.
they wouldn't even be answering this question if it wasnt for "the day before" and it's only come up for the first time like a week or two before release, use your head
anyway, they already have content creators talking about it pre-release

What makes no sense is this article to me tbh.
Picking an answer in one of their faqs to write the article, their communication is all translated on itself because they are not english speaking to start with, there's no drama go around about Palword being a scam lol
It's just the gaming media farming views, you can literally go to twitch right now and watch people playing the game...
Well, I think I'll try to enjoy the game. I've never played craftopia. Closest thing I've played is Conan Exiles but this is not that. It's more craft, build, and automate which I've never done b4. Pokemon themed is probably what will keep me playing. Though I don't know if I'll be any good at automation.
I mean, I've literally been seeing streamers play it and reviewers post their experience playing it.
It's isn't a scam.
Is it a game everyone will like? Probably not.
Or have we reached the point where if a person doesn't like something, its a scam?
Edit. It's also Early Access (whatever that means these days), so you know going in it's unfinished. Don't like EA? Simple, don't buy it until it goes full release.

Yes, unfortunately this site has been getting the GameRant/IGN clickbait empty useless fluff article treatment. This article is absolutely hideous, misleading, and worse than useless. This kind of junk is why I've stopped reading the articles altogether and just chat on the forums.
This game has almost 400k people playing and is very positive....I hate to say it but the more successful this is the more likely Nintendo is to look for some thing to come after for copyright violations. They aren't the owners of the monster taming genera, but there are few characters that look similar enough to Pokemon that Palworld might be forced to change some monsters.
You can play this "scam" on GamePass right now. It's queued for install and I'll be checking it out later. Maybe the real scam is the quality of articles on this site compared to the amount of trackers they try and drop on your device and the amount of data they try and harvest.

I agree, but most of the articles are not like this one, in fact this looks more like a really big Tweet to me.
I will follow this game to see how it develops. It doesn't look half bad, but this studio has another early access game out, Craftopia (costing around $25), which has been in EA since 2020. For now, it looks like the devs took people's money for Craftopia and moved on to work on Palworld instead. Not very promising. Let's see what they will do.

They actually have two other games in Early Access that ended up as Abandonware by them. So these devs don't exactly have a promising track record.
Not to mention, now the game has gone viral, if The Pokemon Company isn't going to drop the legal hammer on them. It's ok to take inspiration from other franchises, but straight up stealing assets never ends well.

It's not MMO, at most they'll provide the dedicated server for self-hosting.
