    I agree with this article. I wish small studios wouldn't set their goals so high and instead try to make something they have a real good shot at finishing.

    Instead of a MMO, just make a rpg that features 3 or 4 zones, some sort of co-op multiplayer, and an interesting skill tree system. If that goes well, then you can make DLCs or make a larger sequel game with the profits.

    It's kind of an issue with video game development in general; most developers only think about 'what they want to do' - very rarely do they think about 'what they can do'.
