These mods can literally put the game at risk of a lawsuit. Bunch of donkeys.

I don’t think it would put the game at risk, but nexus and the modder for sure would be sent a cease and desist

The game runs on Unreal Engine 5, so any modder can fire up Unreal Engine and create mods for it.  This is out of Pocketpair's hands.

It's just nonsense, I've been playing this game for hours and it's the worst thing I've ever tried

If we didn't create the situation that pushed 'modding' into the realm of 'paid content', no one would flipping care.  Some of those modders actually charge money for people to access those mods; and include links to patreon pages with more paid pokemon mods.

If we didn't do this to ourselves, really... no one would really care if the whole monetary aspect never came into play.

Palworld itself probably has itself covered; but Nexus is just a shitshow at this point; they are pretty much the problem.

The question is, why are gamers still using NexusMods website? Why is it OK to use such a website that not only charges you bandwidth, but also bans mods because it doesn't allign with their politics, or w/e? Is there no other website? I am sure someone can start up a new one, and put NexusMods out of business.

There are a lot of mod sites. Anyone hosting pokemon or nintendo fan content are going to get their stuff taken down immediately. It has nothing to do with politics. I has everything to do with not wanting to get cleaned out in court, which Nintendo and TPC will gladly do.

Nexus makes installing and managing mods a lot more user friendly than a lot of places. Mods can be downloaded for free at a lower bandwidth. Not the greatest, but I haven't found another platform that is a lot better and easier to use that also has an extensive library. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Nexus has gone to shit last couple years... I still use them but there are other places that host and give no shits about politics and other stuff.

Also in general vortex sucks and I avoid using it.

Brenics ~ Just to point out I do believe Chris Roberts is going down as the man who cheated backers and took down crowdfunding for gaming.

Politics? Sounds more like a digital rights issue.

Also, I believe Nexus has always removed content where a mod and author didn’t have the rights. This isn’t new and good for them.

I'm not going to knock Nexus for monetizing bandwidth and some fluff features. I miss the free and easy, but I get that it's a hard service to generate revenue with.

Vortex is kind of crap, but also still functional. If there is a better site and tools that make installation, management, and updating easy and painless, then I'm interested. No one has mentioned any yet.

I use 7daystodiemods because some stuff is hosted there that I can't get elsewhere, but it's a pain in the ass for several reasons.

I try and minimize the amount of games and the sources I have to go to. 7Days mods are generally at 2 or 3 different sites. Valheim is at a different couple, depending.
