your sure doing alot about reinforcing the lack of community Wow has with this post you think?
All MMO's are going to have their problems, you would be naive to think that the game is perfect and that no one should say anything bad about it. How the hell would they learn what the players wanted for their expansions if no one spoke up?
For Example:
Players say boo raids, Developer says ok our expansion will focus less on raids. The next step is seeing if they follow through.
Or
Players could say nothing, Developers continue on their path blidnly. Players continuously leave and the developers don't know why.
Theres a good reason as to why all these games ask people why they quit. Simply because they don't want people quitting in the first place.
And how do you stop people from quitting? You give your customers what they want.
It's pretty rudimentry, but I guess it's easier to take the red neck approach, "If you dun like it you can git out!".
is that not updated? or have you really only played that little amount of time?
could we please get correspondent writers and moderators, on the eve forum at mmorpg.com, who are well-versed on eve-online and aren't just passersby pushing buttons? pretty please?
I never like a game where I feel the need to turn off every chat channel but the guild chat.
Eventually, some devs will understand...or BioWare MMO will make it true!
Blizzard was listening to the wrong players, they where believing the 'UberGuilds' folks telling them 'truth' about EQ. Now hopefully they are less clueless and they start to realize that all this time, they have been listening to a minority and hurting themselves and the game a LOT (and the franchise of Blizzard).
Of course it is hard to give an all eloquent speech when you are talking with the lowliest ruffians who represent everything that abuse you as a player, it certainly help those UberGuilds convince Blizzard at the earlier stage of developpment, especially with SoE clueless following of those players, but now, after all this time, even if those guildes can lie well and folks are outraged and talk less eloquently, I assume that Blizzard may eventually read and understand...if not...well BioWare is coming 'soon'!
Uberguilds folks use multiples accounts in-game, it is only logical to assume they will do the same to an even exagerated extand on such forums, raid-lovers are a minority, and Blizzard can see the numbers of online players raiding at ANY given moment, always under 5%. Yet, the #1 reason coming off when peoples leave the game, I would dare to bet that the raiding end-game is it! Less than 5% and MANY multiple accounts, it is rather obvious.
