And now Pokemon will go completely mental over this.

Pretty big numbers.  I dont know what they are getting from Xbox, but steam alone they made $500mil off of a $6mil budget.  Someone made some serious cash off this game.

    I don't believe those numbers.
I don't believe it pulled in more than the movie Barbie.

They say gaming has exceeded movies and other forms of entertainment in total revenues in the UK and elsewhere for quite some time now.

Yet..I don't know a single person who admits to playing Palworld, not even my son and he's a Switch gamer sometimes.

It was addictive to me at first. But after like level 30 it becomes repetitive. And the amount of work to craft and equip your character also goes up. I had a couple of cool bases that were safe from the NPC attacks but just got tired of the grind and stopped. But fun while it lasted.

Fcking Pokemon had its chance! Why didn't they create a "palworld"?! I've been itching for a real Pokemon MMO for decades now but all I get are Pokemon: Red, Gold, Silver, Diamond, Sapphire, Ruby, Emerald, . And guess what? ALL OF THOSE POKEMON GAMES ARE EXACTLY THE SAME FORMULA! There's nothing new out of pokemon ever since it came out.

Nintendo had its chance to come out with a true Pokemon MMO, they are just salty that someone else beat them to it or had the gumption to try.

More power to PalWorld! I can't wait to see what kind of improvements they make over the next few years.

Lol, im one of those weird people. It's a fun game, it's basically ARK but with pokemon instead of dinosaurs.

And yeh, gaming revenue globally eclipsed movie and TV revenue a long time ago now (2007ish?) and hasn't ever given up it's dominance.

I love this! I love when tames have super useful niche functions that give them a unique personality in the herd.

I'm playing Ark Ascended with a family member on a private server and we have a Dimetrodon tame named "Incubator" because their special skill is temperature regulation so the eggs are always at the right temp for hatching. We love him. He saved us from having to build an entire air-conditioned hatchery system (very expensive and time consuming) and he's cute with pretty colors.

I'm one of those weird people too. Once we beat the bosses on the Ark server, I plan on hitting Palworld until the new Ark maps release. I like to call it Poke-Ark with better automation.

I haven't even watched the Barbie movie yet. I did watch Mario. I turn on a streaming channel and serial for background noise, but rarely even watch it. The new Percy Jackson was the last show I paid attention to and the first since the last Death in Paradise season ended. Steaming and movies just don't spark my interest as much as being able to engage with a game.

So many people I know are/were playing Palworld.

Everyone you know must be living in under the same rock not to have played this game.

It doesnt last long, its EZ mode.  Its not the best game, but its not the worst.  I am pulling some fun from it.
