They seem way too busy chasing what ever FOTM fad they see, and working out how to get more money out of their small fanbase than they are on making a game with appeal, compelling reasons to play and an identity of its own.

i am never able to log into their website to get the client to play in their tests. Even though i spent $250 and have had their support "reset" my info multiple times and confirm my account and that I paid the $250. I have given up on this waste of a game. Never do kickstarter...ever!

I don't know how they will be able to do seasons, when there really isn't much of a base game to begin with. The problem has always been, yea, it's sorta cool, but there is nothing done, or content being made.

I think each season is supposed to be a new bit of content.

I hope they do come out with a bit of new content. But I am sceptical, as they have been promising new content for years now, and nothing has happend.

Like for season 1, VR released Avendyr’s Pass. The zone was completed in 2018, all they did was change it to the new art style, and called it new content.

The logo looks like it was heavily "inspired" by Lord of the Rings Online. I had to do a double take when I saw the hero image in the news articles list.

I'm just wondering what people think they are going to get out of this game project; paying as much money that people have, and considering there are sooooooooo many games that are far older titles that look better and have complete game experiences for them to play.

I mean, if they want to play a game that looks like a Lord of the rings online game; THAT mmorpg exists.

If they are looking for a game that looks like Skyrim, but slightly better presentation and online; THAT mmorpg exists.

If they want something more oldschool, i promise you, Everquest STILL exists.

I just don't get it, what are people thinking?? Why are people giving money to these people???

I think that was before the first IPhone released in what, like 2008?

I was hopeful with this project. I'd check back in every few weeks to see if full on alpha or beta was announced. Hadn't really thought about the time until reading this. Ten years. Wow. If I'm honest it feels like they are trying to let this thing go. That old school heart/dedication went with Brad. The rest tried, but have ultimately looked up at the clock too and realized...10...years. And they aren't really any closer to getting it done it feels like. How long has it been "pre-alpha"?

I had plans of buying 5 copies of this (one for me, wife and kids) and it being one of our family game night options. Went back and forth on pledging. With the recent changes to art, monetizing discussions, etc., I'm glad I didn't. It's just not what was advertised initially which in some capacity is understandable because...10...years.

Another chapter in the book of "Don't spend money on Early Access or KS for video games". Showing up and engaging on forums and discord is enough to show your support for an idea.

That's like saying "why would anyone want another fantasy game, world of warcraft does it all ... "

Actual quote from someone years ago on this site. Always stuck with me.

I do want Skryim Online but Elder Scrolls Online is horrible to me. Just a lot of quest stuff and running around to the ^ (upside down) markers and moving to the next. The game play is awful. Yes, Skyrim has those markers but the exploration yields a lot more and is more interesting. Same with Morrowind.

Everquest always looked bad to me. It's why my first mmorpg was Lineage 2.

However ... Vanguard was a LOT better. Didn't look dorky and I felt it was an upgrade.

So what do people want from Pantheon? A more updated Everquest, one that has easier controls, more quality of life issues, better art design and/or graphics.

Well, it used to have better art design, some of the new stuff is junk.

Will it launch? Doubt it. But there's a possibility so here we are.

MMO people here are used to renting access to their half finished games. That shark got jumped decades ago.
