I tried it. Reminds me a lot of OG EQ. You actually see other "players" npcs running around. The zone chat actually happens and works. They carry on conversations with each other. You can whisper player npc's and join groups with them. You'll see player npcs advertising WTB/WTS and you can actually trade with them buy/sell from/to them. The concept is interesting. If you like playing MMO's mostly solo this might actually scratch an itch. The dev's have stated they do plan on implementing CO-OP at some point as well. That could be pretty fun. But what is there now actually is kind of entertaining in the old school kind of way, especially if you like playing MMO's mostly solo with other people just running around.
There is already a Singleplayer MMO, its called GuildWars2 and it is pretty good. Even the 12 year old graphics looks way better than this.
GW2 is not single player as is evidenced by the potential number of concurrent players being more than one. It accommodates solo play for much of it but the vast majority of recent MMORPGs do likewise so that's not a special feature these days.

I believe this is made by one person. After trying it a while ago it seems to try to emulate early games such as EverQuest but with a nod to World of Warcraft.
So the graphics pretty much reflect that.
Like Skyrim? Need more content? Try my Skyrim mod "Godfred's Tomb."

For the longest time it did seem to be made by one person. I think there are at least 2 people on it now as the Steam Discussions has had 2 people reply with the "dev" tag. But even if it's a few people it's still impressive what a solo person or even a small team can do.

Hey, I'm the guy making Erenshor! I am the only developer on the project, this has been my dream game for years and I'm super excited to finally be able to make it.
The other guy on steam is the Erenshor community manager and marketing guy. He's pretty active everywhere there are discussions

It looks like you don't think you have enough jobs.

Ahh cool man well keep grinding away, you have something quite unique on your hands. I do hope you add co-op into it at some point but I'm actually impressed with how "alive" you made the game feel, even in the trial, with npc's doubling as players. It does feel like you're playing an MMO solo and seeing a bunch of other "players" around and talking and fighting. Keep it up. Sorry for the confusion where I thought you had a second dev. Didn't mean to not give you all the credit lol.

I've been giving it a go and find it interesting so will be purchasing it on release.

In the phrasing you prefer MMORPG is still being thrown around, so whatever. The Steam page for the game makes it clear what is actually on offer.
You got me!
