"While Book of Travels is designed to feel “tiny”, explorable, and a bit cozier, the combat overhaul should provide some more to do during your adventures"

I can remember posters telling me it doesn't need combat when I queried what players were going to do in this "cozy" MMO. It does seem to me that "survival" and "cozy" are becoming bywords for "lack of content". Now that's not across the board by any means, but it does seem to keep cropping up.

I played this game whilst stoned out of my mind! Til this day I cant play it in sober state. Might pull out "old Gandalf Bong" and give this one a go again.

That doesn't mean that some people wanted combat.

I'm going to go out on a ledge and say the people who said it "doesn't need combat" still believe that while others probably wanted some combat.

You are possibly right, hard for me to gauge where those comments were coming from. But it was the gaming journalists who were not questioning that and hailing the game as the new wunderkind who need to take note.

There is a tendency in gaming journalism to turn their nose up at combat and see any game that does not have it as wonderful. The harsh reality is that many of these games that don't have combat also don't have the content to replace it. This is just one of the "cozy" games that falls foul of that. I note that "cozy" game Palworld has combat and is an enormous success, maybe time for some commentators to get down of their moralizing pedestal's?
