Why is World of Warcraft on this list? And Why Isn't PalWorld on this list? Or does the game require the word Poké in the title for it to qualify? If that's the case, why is World of Warcraft on this list?

When you want to show the world you didn't read past the title of the article.

Palworld, not an MMO. WoW has plenty of creature catching like a Pokemon style game.

I do question this site promoting fan made titles that "borrow" the Pokemon IP, presumably without the owners approval.

I mean half the time we have to talk in sEkRiT k0dE to discuss our favorite MMORPG emulation sites, so not sure how this is different.

Not just using the IP but PokeMMO requires use of ROMs of the actual Pokemon games. What they provide is more or less an emulator that runs the older games but provides addition in the form of online features. The main portion of gameplay is quite literally whichever Pokemon game ROM you choose to play in.

Not sure if PokeOne functions the same way.

Why is Pokemon go not on the list? In a way it's massively multiplayer.
