Fair review. No arguments. I have over 500 hours in the game but that's over years of playing. Some people no life this thing and have thousands of hours in it. Anyway, what keeps me coming back is the insane amount of replay with all the various builds. This game is an altoholic's dream.
They do have plans to finish the story line. I don't think that will improve it any. It will just be complete instead of stopping abruptly in the middle. They also mentioned adding super bosses or whatever to the end game to give people a bigger fish to fry in end game and test themselves.
We'll see how all that goes, but this game has been on my hard drive for years and will likely be there for years to come.
The single best ARPG on the market currently. Perfect blend of complexity and approachability. The game is very forgiving with builds, you can play to max level with almost anything you can come up with. You might not be able to do 500 corruption monolith runs, but you'll be able to play through the full game and all modes to a degree. But it also doesn't brick characters like you do in POE. Last Epoch is forgiving and allows you to correct mistakes or change builds for simple gold costs with the exception that you can't change your base or promotion class. It has the single best crafting system of any ARPG. It has the single best system for Self Found and Trading in any ARPG. It has the best loot filters of any ARPG. It has plenty of end game modes in Monolith (end game maps), Arena (think Crucible from Grim Dawn endless gauntlet), and Roguelike Dungeons where you die you get kicked out (Again like Grim Dawns dungeons). It launched with more features in it's base game than any ARPG has ever launched with. These guys are gamers that truly built the game they wanted to play. There is a lot of love and passion in this game and it shows. Companies like 11th hour for Last Epoch, or Crate with Grim Dawn, and Larian with Baldurs Gate 3 all are modern day companies with philosophies akin to what the pinnacle companies like Blizzard used to have. Make a truly good game and people will buy it.
I'm always impressed by how consistently this site gets its reviews wrong.
Can you please elaborate? I only have about 100 hours with the game, and that is not a lot of time for an ARPG. That is nowhere near enough time to dig deep into all of the mechanics, so I'd love to hear your opinion. When we create healthy conversation about a game, our readers benefit from it.

"Low value content" they call it in reddit I believe.

Having posters tell us of aspects of the game the review does not cover or gets wrong is really handy, so if anyone can enlighten us crack on. Oh and 100 hours is not bad come on, I bet many players are not going to even chalk that up before they drop it for the next flavour of the month.
End game is meh, story isn't even finished, skills in the tree still don't work right, trading is a mess, I could go on and on.
Actually I bet you can't. Typically people who use the "I could go on and on" line have exhausted their list, they just want to make it appear like there's some cavalcade of additional points to be made which don't actually exist. By all means do go on and on. I'd like to review your whole list. Let's get it all on the table.

Multi-player still broken, servers are a mess, item manipulation is still a problem again I can go on and on

Making up stuff.
Just take the L.
Just a quick scan of r/LastEpoch brings up complaints of gold seller spam, several significant bugs regarding buying random prophecies and a broken unique item.
231 comments on the horrible performance thread, one thread someone shared where they can sell over and over if they resort their inventory, nice for duping.
Apparently portal spawns back to town can randomly place you into a wall, several posts about that one actually.
All of the above is just from today, and not a comprehensive list.

But Diablo 4 gets a 9.5 and doesn't get this as a con. Okay, sure.
