At least just do a damn 75 era server if you're not gonna consider a real classic server, damn....

I loved/hated this game, back in the day it was on the PS2HDD. Totally brutal, very difficult; but worth the struggle for the story and cutscenes. You needed friends to succeed and that made it difficult for people like me.

Frankly, I doubt I could enjoy this game now. Last time I played, on PC version, it felt overwhelming. Too much stuff you could in the cities. I even tried a private server, and I couldn't stand the auction house.

One of things I hated about FFXI is that you had to guess at everything, or read a dam wiki made by people who already discovered things. Everything was so hidden, that even rumors were believed to be true (direction you face, etc). Then there's the time sinks. Want to complete a quest? Wait 24 hours. Want to join in a raid? Wait 6 hours before every one joined and was ready. Want to level up? Wait 4-6 hours for a party, and spend another 4-8 hours grinding on the same boring mob.
